Again, iNcontroL lost because he didn't apply pressure. Simple as that. There were some really good opportunities for him to attack early on (when Ret's third base was going down, just like in the second game) when his opponent was vulnerable, and iNcontroL didn't capitalize. Ret's macro was just too good. gg wp.

inc must be busy with nasl or something... his play seems really unrefined... had a feeling the game was over when ret's 3rd base went up uninterrupted...

ya like many have said... 0 pressure at all... ret even canceled his spinecrawler...

I think they still win money for third place, no?

$500. 4th place gets nothing though.

Definitely an incentive to play seriously then Besides, TL and EG are both very mannered teams.

ExCTLY 4 base vs 2 and no pressure. GG for Zerg just a matter of time.

Round 4 is Axslav from EG vs. Haypro from TL! Axslav needs to win the series (best of 3) to tie the series 2-2 and force an ace round.

The Liquid guys keep talking Haypro up, think Axslav will win this, but would be an excellent time for Haypro to prove his teammates right.

inc done lost. You can't let zerg get 4 base 200.

What PvZ's have you been watching?

Incontrol has a weird PvZ style that doesn't seem very good, he stays on gateway way too long. If he played like Kiwikaki, sure he might still be in a good position:-P

Kiwikakis micro is fantastic though, you really need to micro like him to pull his style off.

Yea, Incontrol seems to stay on 2 bases way too long and stick to gateway units, Kiwi final army seems to be mostly stalker/collosus while Incontrol had a little bit of everything

Huh? InControls army was just Sentry/Stalker/Colossus, he never replaced sentries. The only zealots he had were to stop the ling harass, he had a few DT's I guess.

Kiwikakis army is a massive Sentry/Stalker ball with double forge upgrades and 12 Warpgates with Colossus off 1 Robo until he has his third (then 2 robo). Against IdrA the most Colossus he ever had was around 4. InControl isn't that different, it is just Kiwkikaki has the control and micro to be really greedy and take super early thirds (10-11min thirds)

i always love seeing a nexus first in pvz. it never worked terribly well for me but its still great to see

Haypro recently won the PAX east tourney by beating Nony in the finals.

Also, Incontrol almost never 5-6 gate timing attacks. If I know this, I'm pretty sure someone has told Ret this or he's figured it out himself.

Then you agree that ret outplayed him in poker? Making a guess on your opponent's build based solely on history is a poker skill... actually scouting his build is the Starcraft skill. Ret would've been in a lot of trouble if incontrol didn't make a hallucinated colossus instead of a phoenix by accident.

Game 3 though, that's pure Starcraft skill. Well played ret and Team Liquid!
During practice session, I discovered very good build against zerg. -Bisu[Shield]

Incontrol sure likes DTs in the late game. Anyone know why he prefers getting DTs to say a stargate or even HTs? A lot of the tosses I play also go that route and 2 spines and a spore isn't enough to stop 4 suplise DTs but still, versus BL roach hydra I think I'd prefer VRs.
