If you go to ro16 or better, you stay in code S.

This is the top 8 Code A players and the top 16 Code S players. They are fighting for the 16 spots that were occupied by the Code S players last season. When 24 people compete for 16 spots, 2 out of every 3 will advance. The top 8 Code A players are faced with the 8 3rd place Code S players. The loser then plays the 4th place Code S player.

Anyone from the Top 16 of Code S stays in Code S automatically. If you fail to make it out of the first group stage you have to play in the Up & Down matches. 3rd place players gets 2 shots (as does the Code A player), while the 4th place player only gets 1. ed: Jesus I'm slow rofl!
