Not deliberately breaking the VLC workaround was much cheaper. Mac and Linux users had no problems watching the *official* stream (with login on the Gom site, no shady restreaming involved at all) with VLC. Ok, it took a little bit of effort to set up the first time, but after that, no problems. Yet GOM decided to break this method and thereby alienating anyone not using Windows. And the amount of non-Windows users is much larger than you think in the target audience. I'd say the average SC2 fan is much more likely to use a Mac or Linux than the average computer user in general. | ||
