Yeah I agree his mechanics were off the hook but his decision making were pretty debatable.

I didn't really mind the chatting during fights, the play by play ain't that great here anyway.
But indeed that game looked strange...like 2 tanks, a thor and handful of marines basically killed ret cos of his scrappy army usage i guess

That game actually showed how amazing +3 marines are against ling bane without carapace upgrades. If there wasn't the upgrade disparity his army probably would have held that in each engagement which kinda explains the decision making by Ret.
I really don't think zergs are prioritising carapace against heavy marine play enough, though that's understandable as past +1 carapace feels awful vs tanks. Something to think about I guess.
