You should consider participating if you're only 2 hours away! We currently have about 5 people coming up from Iowa, 4 or so from Nebraska, 1 from Michigan and a few from Ohio. Two hours isn't so bad after that right :p

That's it, I'm totally doing it. I haven't competed in a lan event since I went to a H1 IGN championship in Indianapolis almost 7 years ago, and I really, really miss competing. Looks like my odds might not be the best though, I dropped out of masters b4 ladder lock and I've been fairly inactive for about 3 weeks, but hell, maybe that will give me better seeding in the end? haha

Anyways, count me in I'll be registering sometime today.

I am a decent but not very well practiced Diamond player in the area... I will most likely show up to spectate but should I sign up as a player?

I think playing in a tournament setting could have some benefits even if I do not expect to win anything, but I am not sure what those benefits are that I would get from playing instead of spectating.

Any thoughts?

I think one of the main things you could look forward to in a tournament setting is prepping yourself for some serious games and then losing to any sort of polished early cheese.
