hm i think supernova is definitely the best korean TvP by far
and then exactly MKP
MMA is good too for sure

MVP is one of the worse TvP in korean pro-scene

it's based on results, not on "he's suck because i don't like marinemarauder" etc

Supernova's macro is insane, 5 bases with only a few hundred min/gas.

I was thinking the exact same thing. A caster who is cool enough to dress up and cast with the mouse in his right hand and a wine glass in his left. Tyler would be proud.

What I don't get is how does oGsSTC get to the finals each time with all the cross server lag? but all the other gosu koreans get knocked out? Does STC not get lag? oGs team connects better maybe?

Well it has been said that the connection got a lot worse after the earthquake in Japan and the other tournaments were before that occured, so that might be a reason. I'm only guessing though, but that would make sense.

this game is volatile as it is, any sort of lag can be a huge factor imo. I think cross server games are a bit unfair, especially to koreans who are getting the short end of the stick here. Not a lag rant, CrunCher played well but still kind of unnerving to see people like MKP lose so easily.

And why is that? he was a B-teamer before, not a jeadong or flash .. other players are improving and Cruncher seems to be one of those, seriously, MKP might have reached his ceiling for all we know.

And Cruncher was a mediocre WC3 player, which puts him far below BW B teamers in RTS terms.

MarineKing is legitimately one of the very best players in the world, results prove this.

MKP has one of the worst TvPs out of the Terran GSL finalists, while Cruncher has one of the best PvTs in the foreigner's scene (apparently - because he appears to be rolling Strelok as well). The skill gap in SC 2 isn't so big that MKP should auto-win.

Is that why he all-killed the top 5 protoss (except MC) in TPZ?
Explain to me who has better TvP than MKP.. MVP is having hard times vs P as well.
All terrans are having trouble vs P in general, it's not just MKP...

MVP has better TvP than MKP. Most of the Slayers Terrans have better TvP than MKP. Even Boxer might have better TvP than MKP. The difference between all of these Terrans and MKP is that they don't rely on one-base/two-base marine tank pushes. They make marauders, they make ghosts. They win.

What are you basing all this on?
I think saying MVP has better TvP than MKP is rather bold, as MVP has been struggling immensely recently vs Toss, as he JUST lost to adelscott 0-2, lost to Genius & Alicia and got knocked down to code A, etc etc. Which terran in slayers has better TvP?
I'm not sure about boxer vs MKP, as I can't seem to recall boxer facing any good protoss players.

Terrans need to realize that altho bio may be good on paper vs toss... Forcefield is actually 100x better then terrans credit it. till then we gonna keep seeing these stupid "timing" pushes.

never said toss > terran or anything, said MKP doesn't have worst TvP in gsl
as for bio, i agree that terrans need to figure something out about mech or biomech and make it work, because with bigger maps + stim nerf timing rushes don't work at all...

I'm basing it on marauders and ghosts and vikings being better against Protoss units than marines and tanks. MVP loses but he puts up good fights. Every time MKP has used the marine tank style he's been rolled by a Protoss who knows how to respond to it. His marine tank style is too predictable and fragile. Until MKP realizes this he can't really improve.

Phew, thank god for that, Strelok takes game 2 down with some good ol' fashioned MMM and a Raven (DTs). Great unit control from him, still gutted he kinda through things away in his TSL games.

Cruncher could probably have won but he floated 1500/500 in midgame.

Supernova is good against Protoss because he builds tanks! and Banshee's, not going Bio MMM.

You never can figure out new combinations and styles unless you try them.
You also can't say someone is better at vs Protoss because he makes marauders/ghosts.
I can make marauders/ghosts/vikings, but I'm obviously much inferior to MKP.

I'm not saying MKP is the best at TvP, but he's obviously not the worst.
