I am at that level and of a place where I can be critical of my peers play because I know them on a level both personally and professionally you couldn't conceive of matching.

And maybe give what I say a chance... cause at the end of the day I wouldn't hope to explain expert piano play to a 13 year professional veteran.. why would you assume to have that right?

Well was more exciting because if he forgot to FF he would have lost. While using chronoboost/putting down darkshrine and putting forcefields down and microing your army so that he can't snipe your sentries.
Was pretty nice to see how well axlav defended that ^^.

I love watching the GCPL, the production quality is usually incredibly high and we've had some fantastic games in the past few weeks but who thought running ads was a good idea? In the Axslav vs Strelok game on JB, the stream was lagging a fair bit, so the post-game ad actually started before the end of the game!! We missed the DT play by Axslav and came back to the End game screen - SO disappointing!!
The mods then started banning everybody that complained about this in chat... sigh, they completely lost control of the channel.
edit: I should note that even when the stream wasn't lagging, the commentators didnt seem to realize/know ads were getting run, so most of the post-game commentary was overridden with the ad.

incontroll and gretorp are two very smart players but for some reason just can't perform... everytime i cheer for them in a tourney they always drops out early... hope it's just luck!

If I had to give feedback about GCPL I'd say that the only missing thing is some kind of overlay, showing score & players' names / positions on the map.

It still amazes me the overwhelming amount of people in the chat rooms of these streams that are complete retards. From the ever predictable "rofl Terran imba" after each Terran victory to the constant attempts to enlighten pro players on what they did wrong after a loss. Then we have the blatant trolling.....but atleast this breed of idiot doesn't attempt to hide their retardedness - they just come straight out with it.
Incontrol is beyond correct in his previous post. He has gained the RIGHT to criticize other players because they are his peers, not some group of people way above his level.

This argument essentially makes it impossible to criticize any pro player in any league, sports or otherwise. I've always hated the "don't criticize the quarterback, it's not like you are a pro yourself" argument. It suggests that all pro players in any sport are immune from criticism from their fans because their fans are not pros themselves.
How many times have you heard people say "ohhh Manning choked!" or whatever when talking about football, when it's painfully obvious he's 10000x better than the people drinking beer from their couch on a Sunday afternoon.
