Looky vs. Kas, will be my favorite match up there. Can't wait to watch! GL VT!
Team LiquidUnderneath it all they were really quite nice. They just got screwed up. Mostly by stuff that wasn't entirely their fault.

Would have liked to see nani versus pokebunny and beastyqt versus future but, I'm still sticking with Empire to win it. 3-1 maybe 3-2 if it goes to ace.
Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.

Sucks that there are so many mirrors. But I guess the teams could chose who they wanted to play on which map, which due to the imbalance of the maps leads to certain race compositions.

Only on Wednesday and Thursday (Thu/Fri in EU). The other 2 days (Sat & Sun) they play at 7 p.m. EU time. Again, all the teams gave input to Xeris about the best time slots for the GCPL and all agreed to them. For viewers in Europe you can always catch the VOD after the event.

Set 1 on Xel'Naga Caverns
[image loading] (T)Empire|Beastyqt spawning at the top position in teal.
[image loading] (T)VTPokebunny spawning at the bottom position in red.

Beasty opening reaper-expand while Poke rushes to banshee and pushes with marines and a tank, but Beasty has a good defense ready, and makes the attack prohibitive, and repels the banshee with a viking.

Pokebunny attacks but is repelled with significant losses, while Beasty maintains his economic lead. Poke expands at his natural, but takes damage to a drop from Beasty. He takes his gold at the same time in an attempt to catch up, but Beasty pushes along the left side of the map and elevators a bio force into Pokebunny's main with tank support on the low ground. Pokebunny tries to defend, and loses nearly everything in the the process, while Beasty's bio force remains. GG.

Nani opens zealot-stalker and pushes, while Future cuts the zealot and goes straight for a stalker. Both go four gate, but Nani's proxy pylon position is a little better. Nani's initial zealot advantage gives him the advantage and he takes out the pylon with which Future is warping in units at the last possible second. Naniwa gets in a round of production and the rout is on. GG.

The problem is during the GSL there are hundreds of people trying to LR/talk about non LR things that if you try LR in that fashion it just gets buried and noone reads it.. in an ideal world though i see a future for this hehe

Set 3 on Close Position Metalopolis
[image loading] (T)Empire|Kas spawning at the 3 o'clock position in blue.
[image loading] (Z)VTLooky spawning at the 6 o'clock position in orange.

Kas rushes with a handful of marines, an scv, and a couple of hellions. Looky micros extremely well with zerglings and queens, losing only an overlord to the attack. Looky quickly responds with a roach-ling pump and catches Kas without his scvs in position, killing off a bunker and a supply depot, severely testing Kas's defense, but Kas has a medivac out to heal his scvs, and survives closely. Looky gg's after losing.

Empire - 3
VT - 0

Fourth game will be played.

The GSL threads are abysmal. Half of the people posting in them deserve bans. Thankfully, we're slowly weeding the idiots out, but not as fast as some people would like.

Faster zerglings for reveNge, but faster roaches for ho8ot, and he holds and then pushes, with greater success than his opponent, taking out about four drones at reveNge's natural. ho8ot grabs an econ edge in the meantime. When reveNge makes his push, ho8ot has the army advantage and 1-0-0 upgrades. reveNge has burrow but it's not enough and he pulls back to heal up. reveNge breaks through the rocks to make a surprise attack, but ho8ot counter-burrows and lays a beautiful trap, forcing reveNge to give battle, where he loses badly. ho8ot follows reveNge's army back to his main, where he finishes the VT zerg off.
