No, Im not the best terran player in the world, but its just so annoying that posts seem to be either "wow hes amazing" or "wow hes terrible", why is there no middle ground?

Don't let those comments get to you. You had a "meh" day today and lost mostly due to some minor timing mistakes, LosirA also got lucky with his timings. As MC said about you "early game chobo, late game gosu". Your early game needs a bit of tweaking and soon you're going to be crushing your opponents. Once again, good luck.

I was thinking what would happen if Fruitdealer was to play MC, then came to this thread...

Mate take my advice: learn to read a statement, use your brain to evaluate its message and its source, and if you deem it as stupid ignore it. Not telling you to ignore smart, constructive criticism from clever people, just dont bother with the bullshit. I know it can be hard, but once you reach that stage your life will feel so much easier.

Because you are a top tier player in the spotlight and that is how it works. I enjoy watching skilled people play so I think you are awesome. Haters love to hate so they say you are bad regardless of their actual opinion. People in the middle ground don't care enough to post their thoughts, so you never hear from them.
If the hate really bugs you go check out the Tao of Jeet Kune Do by Bruce Lee. He has some awesome insight on how to deal with the love/hate that comes with having a lot of attention on you.

Seeing as Fruitdealer's ZvP is ... not very good and MC very proficient with 1 and 2 base allins, I'd say the results aren't very surprising. I wonder why FD is so bad ZvP, it's not that bad a MU but he seems to have been struggling with it for a long time (since GSL1 at least). He always mis-reads the Protoss or goes for weird all-ins

Unfortunately that's just how discussions about sports work. Pretty much anyone in the NBA/NFL/whatever who's not one of the best handful is gonna get called "the worst football player in the world" and screamed at even if they're in the top 10 in the world, and especially by their own fans (or fans of their team). Obviously, those people are not bad at all, in fact, they're insanely good. That's just how people talk about this stuff.

Yeah true, just read the kaspersky cup thread. First everyone is like, lol Top sucks, ret would just walk over him. Then he wins one series vs MC and people already see him in the GSL finals. It is sad and funny at the same time, but that's just the way it is.

I seldom write here, but I must say this...
The casters mentioned there was a flu epidemic among the players (who also eat, sleep, play together) and a lot of them got sick
Some players even refused to play today, but some did play even in terrible condition. and Jinro was one of them.
It was a friendly off-season match just for the sake of bragging rights, and if you really needed some rest, anyone could have gave up that match and go to bed.
You must know that these guys did it for their team mates, friends & fans who were watching. (Some players, due to sudden PC malfunctioning, even had to rush to the nearest PC cafe just to play the match.)
I'm not going to say "Pay some respect"
Just cut them some slack. At least they were better than the guys who didn't have the slightest respect for you.

Thanks for informing us, as you can see the TL community is almost always pretty clueless regarding events in Korea. I think I speak for everyone if I say that I wouldn't mind you posting more often and providing with a little bit of an 'insider' perspective.

Since Jinro is reading the thread, and apparently is sick, I just wanted to say I took a nap specifically to be able to get up at 4am and watch you play. and even though you lost, thanks for not wimping out. I'm a big MC and even Leenock fan, so I really was exited for the season 3 team. but if you hadn't even been able to play I'd have felt disappointed.
Imagine how TSL_Pretty's fans would feel if they had to watch at 4am. People lose games, the Yankees won't be 163-0 this year, neither will the Phillies with that pitching staff. I really hope you play a lot better against Idra Jinro, but I enjoyed your matches this morning especially the heavy early pressure it's obvious you are trying to shed that never all in's persona. with a little work you might be able to shut down that early expand for zerg opponents.

I'm with Slusher. I set my alarm at 6am to watch an hour of Jinro and then go to bed. Thanks for playing, get some rest and good luck this season.

Nah, I'm just a guy who likes starcraft just enough to know the name of the players, who happens to be bilingual.
Anyways, I'll try ..........

Dear Jinro, you're okay :D
But nar, 2-1 vs Losira is still a good result even if you're not so happy about it, I rate him as one of the best Zerg out there, he hasn't done well in GSL but is pretty damn good imo. All that aside GL in the GSL hope you nail it.

Jinro - You have way more quiet fans who never post (me) than the loudmouths who post often and in ridiculous ways.
As you get better, and more famous, you will *always* have detractors. Just ignore them, take them as a sign of your raising skills and popularity, and keep on kicking ass as best you can.
GL in the upcoming year, buddy.
