Danawa Invitational
Danawa (www.danawa.com) is hosting a 16-person invitational tournament casted (in Korean) by
July and some other guy, BJ조조 I think, in + Show Spoiler [a hilarious set.] +![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/fJ5qj.jpg)
They invited the champions of seasons 1 and 2 of GSL, 김원기 (
FruitDealer) and 임재덕 (NesTea). They then went to the coaches of 7 teams and had them suggest 2 players to join the tournament. The remaining competitors are:from STARTALE, 최지성 (
Fancy) and 박준용 (
Virus); from TSL, 서기수 (
TesteR) and 한규종 (Clide); from Prime, 이형주 (
Check) and 김동욱 (Hannibal); from IM, 정종현 (
MVP) and 황강호 (Losira); from fOu, 이형섭 (
Choya) and 최원석 (Ox); from oGs, 장민철 (
MC) and 김정환 (Cezanne);from ZeNex, 한준 (
Kyrix) and 윤영서 (Taeja). The format is most similar to the world cup. First there are 4-person bo1 group stages. The top 2 out of each group are then seeded into the bracket, so 1st place A plays 2nd place C and vice versa, 1st place B plays 2nd place D and vice versa. The ro8 is bo3, the ro4 is bo5, and the finals are bo7.

The ro8 matches are on the 22nd, the ro4 is on the 27th, and the finals are on the 29th. Prize money, as far as I can tell, is 200,000 won for 1st, 60,000 for 2nd, and 20,000 for the 3rd/4th place finishers. I might be wrong there, somebody should confirm~
Results and VODs are HERE, all you need is GOM player. The couple commercials you have to watch before each match might be kinda laggy but i had no lag issues whatsoever in the actual games.
