With the result of the last game, group C is already decided:

+ Show Spoiler +
MC and ST_Bomber go through. Nestea is out, even if he wins the last game.

Ok I submitted an app, but it probably takes a while. Hope I can bring some more streams like this in the future.

Group D is going, TSL_Clide vs choyafOu finished, IMmvp vs oGsCezanne now.

Might put up some of my practice casts / laddering in the future.

Funny, I guess the actual win statistics are lying then.

I'm not saying it's balanced, but perhaps you should consider expressing yourself more intelligently rather than simply provoking responses. If the ID was removed from the post, I'm sure moderators would either warn or temp ban you for that comment.

I know, it's almost as if accomplishments can earn you respect, what bullshit here on TL. It's totally different for some random 1500 diamond noob to QQ than a really strong professional gamer in korea. I'm not saying idra is always right, but he has done something to earn the right to bitch about stuff.

No. Arguably it's much, much, much worse.

There's been several debates about why especially progamers should refrain from QQing. And no, even if a nobel prize winner came into my house and told me "it's obvious like this, idiot" I wouldn't believe him until he showed me why.

You've got strange opinions. Keep trusting the authorities.

It's good to want to know the reasons, but to "keep trusting authorities" is something that people have to do on a day to day basis. Are you a researcher in climate science? If not you can't have an opinion on global warming? Are you a professor in economics? If not why should you be allowed to vote, even amongst academics many economic issues are unclear. Did World War 2 happen? If you're not a historian who has been through the primary evidence, then you're relying on authority to decide. Et cetera.

Trusting authorities is not always a bad thing.

Except that they have a huge body of papers, arguments and a verified methodology that anyone can read, understand, contribute to or contest. Whereas our friend Idra is happy with (and I'm paraphrasing): "These days you can pretty much do anything and win versus zergs".

There have been some pretty entertaining matches so far, if the groups at GSL are anything like this it'll be great. =)

Feeling hopeful about Ret's code A match having just watched Cezanne get run over by MvP, definitely think Ret is the better Z there.

Zerg Q_Q never seems to end, seriously. When toss was in the back-foot people gave stupid advice like "lern2play" and "base ur whole strategy on warp prisms!!!!!". Toss just adapted and dealt with it, but that is too much to ask from zerg players. Its much easier to whine and get blizzard to patch it up for you. Obviously Toss units cost no money, so you can't compete with them!

I missed the game between Choya and Clide, can anyone tell us who won and make a quick summary of the game?

I didn't see the Cezanne game today, though I'm 100% sure Ret is better than Cezanne. I just hope he doesn't get nervous or anything. Mirrors can be such a coin flip and it really makes me sad to see him lose.

I'm surprised MC lost to Bomber and NesTea didn't make it out of the group. How did MC lose?

Clide won that one. Rough summary follows:

+ Show Spoiler +
It was a fairly standard macro game I guess, Choya teching towards Colossus and Clide roaming around with a MMM ball. Real pushes started coming at around 150 food with both looking to take their third base. Clide managed to bait a number of forcefields without using Stim, the first pushes were pretty even losses on both sides, and Clide started to mass up a decent number of Vikings. Choya looked like he might take out Clides gold briefly but the PF morph finished and he got driven back. At this point Clide started to get a bit of a lead and pushed up towards Choya's gold in return, his vikings were able to drop the Colossus fairly quickly and he landed them to assist his MMM in mopping up all Choya's forces. With nothing really left to defend himself, Choya GG'd out.

Wow, choya really seems to have MVP's number, he crushed that push and then countered for a pretty easy win.

It wouldn't have been that bad if MVP didn't keep trying to force (heh) it. He gave up 3 or 4 extra Marines every time trying to sneak his entire army through a single hole.

MC went 4 gate vs Bomber's 2 rax expo. Bomber held it off and MC was way behind economically, eventually getting rolled by an MM push.

Wow that last game was painful, Cezanne finally managed to win although he seemed to try really hard to throw away an unassailable lead...
