It will take some time to organize the harvested replays and go through all the "Xel'Naga Caverns (89).sc2replay"-named files to link them to the correct games since there wasn't a system in place for that for the tournament. They'll be linked to this post once they're up, hopefully within a week.

Xel'Naga Caverns 29% Metalopolis 17% Lost Temple 16% Shakuras Plateau 12% Jungle Basin 8% Scrap Station 5% Blistering Sands 3% Delta Quadrant 3% Steppes of War 2% (apparently SC2Gears is fine with the percentages adding only up to 95%, guess it uses truncation instead of rounding) ![]() A bit under 80% of the games used just 4 different maps, which probably won't be news to anyone. It will be interesting to see which direction the SC2 scene map usage goes to. The Assembly map pool was fixed in December; luckily already by now we're seeing some change about to happen in bigger leagues in the form of the ICCup (in ESL) and GSL maps starting to get actual use. not to say ret's not amazing, 'cause he is and i totally love the guy. but wow, morrow's side of the bracket was truly packed. tyler, huk, socke, qxc, tarson, kas. by comparison, ret's side was pretty thin, with only adelscott and naniwa really standing out. Yeah, the lower bracket was "missing" SjoW, BRAT_OK and DeMusliM, if they had 1) participated 2) won their groups. Tyler would also have been there, had he won his group instead of SarenS.

Thanks, those stats are amazing Really nice to see the order of the maps that the pros find acceptable to play on and also clearly shows that there are only 4 maps in the current Blizzard map pool that are suited for tournament usage.
