I think Konoha's point was, though, if you're going to make the spire, and not cancel it, then hopefully it was because you had some plan involving making Mutas. Otherwise, it's just a bad play. It's not at all. If he's one-basing? Yeah. Even two-basing as his main gets mined out. But he had already saturated his third. At that point, money is not as scarce; therefore flexibility becomes more of a priority especially since terrans can tech-switch at a moment's notice. So in a typical game, HD will see the thors, make roaches, then Spades switches to more marauder-heavy play, then mutas become valuable. In chess, you're never just thinking about the next move; you're thinking about the moves three and four turns from now. Cancelling the spire is a "thinking of only the next play" move that the vast majority of SC2 players -- myself included -- are guilty of utilizing.

My respect has defenitely grown for HD Definitely man, I dont watch HD personally but he is doing his fair share and more with esports growth. Alot of his casual viewers have been exposed to MLG as a result of him playing and its good for MLG and esports in NA as a whole. Big respect for that.

People want to watch the game at the highest, these players are bad compared to the top of the tourney. I don't watch a competitive game to see how much better someone is than me, I just want to see the highest level players competing.

He's still better than 99 percent of people on this site like people stated
