Starcraft isn't a hard thing to understand for alot of people, hard to execute yes, to see and know what is going on is pretty easy if you have been playing RTS games your entire life.

i don't think you can fully understand sc at the top level unless you have very good micro/macro and strategic understanding. You need to have good mechanics to understand the game because strategies in this game revolve around mechanics.

Seriously when will people learn? ALL the coaches have a player background from high level play! Just look at NYY, they have 6 coaches which all of them have played professional at atleast one point in their life. That means they might not still be at the same level but they have once been there!
This is very different from random people who has been either following or playing casually criticizing top players or trying to give them advice. But I guess it's the same case as being a child and always believing you know better than your parents...
