I have an unavoidable urge to purchase Cheeseburger hot pockets / Beef Jerky / Cheery Dr Pepper and Old Spice.

MMM vs. IdrA please. It would be a free win.

For people say Nony plays creative and lost, you are wrong, over commit to Phoenix is not creative. Normally when terran is being harrassed by Phoenix, they just turret up and start to turtle and let the Protoss macro. But Select did exact the opposite, he knew that with all that Phoenix, Nony's ground force is weak and he go for a counter attack. That decision is simple on paper but take alot of game understanding to make. So please give some credit to Select. Nony starts to panic after the first attack and make to much Phoenix...he should have gone for more ground units after the first push by Select

great, same build 7 games in a row wins the series...
To be fair, much as I love Nony, he made some really odd choices. The proxy robo, and the shift to lots of Phoenixes, both made no sense for the build he was facing. He also seriously messed up by letting his Colossi get surrounded. He never got storms, and he never got zealot charge, both of which could have utterly wrecked SeleCT's build.
I dunno, I feel like Tyler is overall the better player, but in this series it just didn't feel like he was building the smartest way he could have to defeat SeleCt's composition, which was the same every match.

Marauders are infinitely boring.
Let's do this KiWi!!

i just think going phoenix was a poor choice.

I can't imagine being SeleCT, he's played like 20 games basically non-stop today against all top-tier players...and still winning

Select outplayed tyler. end of story.
Select did outplay tyler... but hello ? marines? unit that can hit air, with lots of dps. Read what I quoted.

dont see much mech against toss so bio play probably only viable strat i guess. select had great control with his bio units though nice try by nony nice to see phoenixes being used.

I hope kiwikaki tears select a new one.

Waiting to see how kiwi or huk deals with select Nony actually had the lead in the two games he played standard and only lost the first one because of bad unit control and over committing to a failed attack. Even in the game XC he could have won had he not chased down the wounded units and lost all his stalkers.

Allur, I won't be surprised if you don't last long on this site. Whiners and bitter fans are not appreciated here. You can talk about the game, and about what Tyler could have done, or any weaknesses you see in Select's builds. But just sitting here saying sour things isn't contributing to the discourse. And Select made Oblits/PSM in DoW .
PErsonally, I agree with what others are saying. Nony did best when he went robo immortals -> Colossi vs Select. I think the problem for Nony was that even with that unit combo he had a very difficult time actually stopping Select from continuing to expand. Immorts/Colossi just seemed to break even, and Select is just too active and too powerful with his medivac drops. As soon as the games stretched to 3 bases, Nony had a VERY difficult time trying to defend all that ground.
Maybe that's why he built the phoenixes? It was a good way to scout/harass and in the mid-game would have been a great defense vs medivacs and possibly countering the vikings?
