Look at the beta patch notes. In the entire Beta Terran got nerfed about 5-6 times in total and everything else was a buff.

I think Socke gg'd too quickly. He could've warped in more HTs and I think his mothership was already out but didnt get to use it?

This is awesome! Is Rotterdam a former WC3 caster? I remember that voice from somewhere and I think it was while watching those casts. Just a great idea for a tourney!

Maybe the low cost of marines is a factor. When you have half the map, losing marines doesn't hurt much. And then you can mop the rest up with marauders.

bratok even had 4k mins/gas when he steamrolled socke there, can be even more scary. though usually protoss doesn't crumble that bad so i would'nt call imba at that now. last time socke managed nicely on desert oasis
(also that ghost ball was lol)
if anything hate on the maps, not the races

Keep in mind that BratOk was pumping out units all the while though. He was barely holding off the inital push, and when the marauders came he would've lost a lot. Without the income to support his gateways he would've lost to pure macro a bit later- Even if he did fend off the marauders there would be another wave coming shortly after. I don't think it was too uncalled for to gg out at that point, but yeah, weirder come backs have happened.

its not like whitera is out of practice. he's massed over 600 games on ladder and has a pretty good win/loss ratio. no idea why he's on a slump in tournaments but i seriously doubt its rust.
