The American Championship Finals of the Intel Extreme Masters will take place at the Comic Con in New York City October 8th-10th.
Intel Extreme Masters American Championship is just around the corner, and with SC2 Regular Season coming to an end it was time to draw groups for the Intel Extreme Masters American Championship Group Stage The draw happened on djWHEAT's show "Weapon of Choice" on Sunday August 29th
The matches will start September 4th 20:00 CEST and will continue through Sunday September 5th. By the end of this weekend we will know who of these players will be attending the Intel Extreme Masters American Championship Finals held in New York, NY at the Jacob K. Javits Center.
Anyone attending Comic Con can come and watch this live IEM tournament. Additionally ESL TV will be providing coverage with broadcasters to be announced for each game. You can order your Comic Con tickets on the Comic Con website. Press can accredit for this IEM event at: skl@turtle-entertainment.de
Many TeamLiquid users will be at this event - It will be a good opportunity to see each other and to get to know the players a little bit.

Hope that there's an awesome turnout for the event. Biggest thing that sucks about piggy-backing with ComicCon/NYAF (WCG USA last year) is the cost of those events is ridiculous

So, what days is this actually going to be held in NYC? Is it going to be the entire weekend, or Just one day? I can't find any information on this anywhere. NYCCC doesn't have anything on their site about this and neither does ESL.

The American Championship Finals will take place this weekend at Comicon and you can all watch everything on ESL TV or you can even come and visit our tournament area in New York! I've been searching for hours on how to go watch the finals. I've called Javits and Comic Con, nobody has even heard of the tournament. All I can find out is that its 10/10/10 at Comic Con in New York which is at the Javits Center.....
...great game starts at 6:15 p.m. great.....comic con closes at 5. Where do I go to watch it?!?!
This is frustrating.

Edit: qxc just confirmed for me that Silver is indeed replacing CauthonLuck... PainUser was third in CauthonLuck's group though... they even had to play tie breakers...

I opened the list of exhibitors and looked for "I"
there I found "Intel Extreme Masters" and the booth number

Could IdrA try and qualify through the Asian qualifiers or does he have to be a citizen of an Asian country to be allowed?

Yeah, at the tourney and spectators can NOT get in unless you have a pro badge or press badge. It's ridiculous. So till 1 I'm just standing here wishing I could see the tourney. Wish someone from any organization found this out ahead of time.

Why does HuK play Drewbie AGAIN, and Fenix play qxc AGAIN in the SemiFinals? Shouldn't 1st place in Group A play 2nd place in Group B? It's pretty stupid to have these guys play the guys they just beat in their own Group. I've never seen a tournament organized like this. What are you guys thinking?

Same here, and the octoshape versions say "stream not found". Now i don't want to ask a refund for 3.5€ but still it's unprofessional to sell a premium stream that doesn't exist or doesn't work properly. I opened a support ticket at ESL, they told me to
a) Refresh the webpage in my browser with ctrl+f5 which obviously didn't work
b) gave me the link to the octoshape premium stream which obviously didn't work
Basically i told them the premium stream isn't working for me and they gave me a link to the stream (wtf). I wonder if they even read support requests.

you got had. I can barely bring myself to try to watch the free stream. ESL has the worst layout, tech support, website, everything. don't give them money.
