Yea, pretty sure they said that the tournament will always be played on the most recent patch. And since there's no lan you pretty much have to practice on battle.net. Having tournament in patch 1.0 and practive in 1.1 is not a good idea.

It will be hard for both IdrA and TLO to make it to the semis. I actually think IdrAs group looks quite hard, then again IdrA is a beast, but TLO's group has some extreme names. I highly doubt TLO will make it to the semis. TLO will have to beat guys like Tester and Check.

I'm so pumped for this, it's been ages since we've seen Tasteless cast games. Plus it's awesome to root for foreign players in a Korean tourney. It would be nice if more bw pros would switch to SC2, but until there is a sort of SC2 proleague with sponsored teams I doubt many will switch.

Is anyone else having issues with the GOM site? I went through the whole account activation process, got the activation email and clicked on the link to activate but I can't log in. Every time I try, I get "We cannot find your email or nick-name. Please re-enter it." I've tried putting in my email, the nickname i chose, and my real name and none work.

I also thought that maybe the activation didn't go through so I attempted to sign-up again but when I did, it said my Email and Nickname were unavailable. So obviously the activation worked but I can't sign in.

Anyone have similar issues or know how to solve it?

I had that same problem, and I "solved" it by just using the log in with facebook option instead of making an account.

Ugh, thanks for the suggestion but I just tried that and it says both my email and Nickname are "duplicated." I can change my nick easy but I don't want to create a whole new email just for GOM..... how annoying. Perhaps it takes awhile for the activation to go through the system? I guess I'll just try logging in tomorrow.

Who the hell is controlling the observer's camera? It's on Idra's base while there is Reaper harass going on at his natural, and now it's stuck off on the bottom edge of the map.

In that game, the observer camera was following Artosis' screen, but both he and Tasteless thought it was following Tasteless' screen since he is the designated observer. So it's just an issue for that game.

TLO doesn't have practice partners good enough. Since he was playing oGs player he had to play mostly with guy who didn't make it through prelims. If he fought someone beside oGs he could have won, he has potential. I can see him in ro16 nex GSL if he doesn't play someone from top8 or someone from oGs on his level.

IdrA lost due to playing zerg. If Blizzard fixes this i see his potential to get to ro8 and if he doesn't meet someone from top4 it can be even ro4.

Don't make this a whine thread and have you watched the games at all?
There were some fundamentals that both TLO and Idra lacked in the decisive games which is what made them lose. The biggest of them being scouting for proxies. That is just 1 fundamental in which u see other koreans scout the entire surroundings of their base before going to the opponent. So do not say something like IdrA lost due to playing zerg. And don't say TLO doesn't have practice partners good enough too.

If you watched the gsl games or vods then you would have known that they held a inhouse ranking tourney and TLO ended up above hyperdub which means they have atleast played several games against eachother.

Hyperdub was the better player overall in the series and same goes to lotze (or losira?) although there were some luck involved in some cases (counts for other players too).

Yes, and I watched interview which You didn't. TLO clearly said that he wasn't playing with oGs players before match. Inhouse ranking and games prove that his opponent made big leap and it's no miracle but training and coaching with best terrans SC2 scene from oGs team. This is perfectly logical. Lack of scouting on this level of play isn't because of bad fundamentals - don't make me laught, it's the same as in BW scene. It's due to routine and routine comes from two places succes or in our case practive with same guy, and TLO admitted that it was one guy. IdrA played more solid game than his opponent and still lost so I blame it on being zerg.
