That game was meant to be casted but there was a problem with lag and they showed quakelol instead. Was kinda sad as I wanted to see those games too. The replays are well worth it.
They're casted here: glhf.blip.tv

Being a TLO fan is sooooo beta,
Tarson is the new TLO.
Yeah I saw his smile and was very touching, he was very happy and I was happy for him. I didn't know who Tarson was but after his performance, is evident the guy is a very solid player. His APM was very high as well. I also liked he is humble and doesn't have a big ego, like some others.

Tarson is actually well-known within the BW community. He was defeated by Nony in the TSL 2, I believe.

I was really confused that tarson was treated like someone new to the scene from take. Cause take did some bw commentary for esl as cocaster already. Oh well.. happy to see him advance.

Yeah watching the ESL stream is/was (tried watching the vods to see if they uploaded the HQ ones).... I would rather not watch the games at all. I'll just stick to the spoilers.

heh madfrog was not happy abt that loss but was proffessional, " i do not like to whine, there are many good terrans"

Funny thing was that he gave signs of lying when he said that.

Even if the players had different personnal thoughts, I think they acted quite professionally.
I am quite sad for Huk. There will be probably no protoss player in ro8. Is it because there are not a lot of good protoss players or is that because " some of the best ones" were not there ? I guess Wra had a bad day...
Nice for Artosis to win a least a game though
Just some stats (food for thought):
Terrans:
3/4 qualified TvZ: 7/2 TvP: 5/4 Overall winrate: 66%
Protoss:
0/2 qualified PvZ: 1/4 PvT: 4/5 Overall winrate: 36%
Zerg:
1/2 qualified ZvT: 2/7 ZvP: 4/1 Overall winrate: 43%
WARNING: this is not for whine, just that I love stats at the end of a tennis match for example =D

HuK was just really nervous, I guess it was his first real big offline event?
And White-Ra didn't perform any good since the game went live, he seems to be in a slump since the end of the first beta phase.
I'm really expecting great things from Madfrog though in the playoffs, he was definitely not playing at 100 % against TLO but you can sense that he is on top of his game right now.

yesterday i watch madfrog vs Tlo..and i think that its all a matter of stress. TLO manage stress and live gaming better then Madfrong, keeping his mind focused on the game. About Madfrog...i never saw a pro with no expansion, and HE 's a pro,so it MUST be a matter of stress.

yea huk is very dependent on his confidence. if you follow him online you would have 0 doubt he will lose to morrow and beat tarson. That's just how he does it, if he loses to someone who he has no confidence against he goes banzai in the next game like hey i already lost i have nothign to lose.
I'm saying this because confidence is like half of your success. If you think you're supposed to lose to your opponent you msot likely will.
They discussed it in QL tournament today extensively too.

Guys... u don't really know Madfrogs game history do you?
He first came to korea to play BW and was very good at it..then switched to Wc3 tft...and pretty much owned everything with his korean clan in all korean leagues...
I don't think that Madfrog is lacking live event experience not at all...
But I think most of the people forget that if a player (tlo) is playing a certain tactic the opponent(madfrog) isn't familiar with, then it always looks like the ons if nervous...

On korean servers many terrans even open 6rax proxy reaper for even more aggression.
I loled when Day and Apollo kept saying madfrog was in a good position, when 1base terran completely destroys 1base zerg, because of mules.

you don't really seem to know his history right
He never went to Korea for SC:BW, he was quite a good Broodwar player in the early 2000s and even played in one WCG for Sweden. He switched to Warcraft 3 on Release and later went to Korea with his SK teammates to play for Team Intel. Once the contract ran out and his teammates returned to their homes Madfrog stayed in Korea and joined Frienz, a korean pro-gaming Team.
But you are correct, Madfrog is very experienced in terms of playing on TV, in front of live crowds etc

MaDFRoG is just awesome, he does creative and different openings in every game - anything from 9-pool to 16-pool - which shows that he hasnt chiseled his gameplay into stone tablets like some other Zerg player who loudly whine about imbalances. Sure he screws up some matches - 16-pool vs. fast Reaper is less than ideal -, but he also beats up some pretty good players.

Starcraft is no simple game, so this is simply whining or trying to fuel the whine.
Statistics do not mean anything, because the players are HUMAN BEINGS and everyone can have a bad day. I am pretty surprised about White-RA being taken apart this solidly and we all expected him to do better. So that should prove that bad days can happen to anyone.

I am abit disappointed in MadFrog's games against Terrans, because his wins against Cloud was mostly because of blunders. Cloud letting 20 zerglings to rush into his base through lifted down supply is just lol and in third game on Blistering Sands where MadFrog easily breaks the Rocks with Cloud founding it out at last seconds... Maybe Cloud was really nervous?
And all the games MadFrog lost was pretty much one sided ( i hope he will show his best after group stages, because i want to see zergs rock all the stage ))) but there is just too much evidence of imbalance.

Ten samples is even not enough.
Here it’s just for fun like the commentators who say at the end of a tennis match « omg he won only 50% of his break points… he was so stressed » even if he had only two xD
So this is pointless... and as I have said, I think Wra had a bad day and that he's not "out" yet of the scene.

MaDFroGs one game vs. White-RA which is up on glhf.blip.tv is much better and the game is about even for most of the beginning. In the end he slowly reaches the critical mass - even though he does lose a lot of his Mutas during attacks - and DuckloadRA doesnt have a chance to build any more bases and is starved to death.
