If you are receiving this message, it means that you have signed up for the fourth Open Wolf Cup but cannot participate. There were about 180 entrants at the time of typing this message, and naturally not all 180 were able to make it in. However, this is a tournament that happens weekly, so if you did not make it in this time, you may make it in next time. So be prepared for signups next week. Lastly, there is still a chance that you could participate. Simply join IRC during check-in time on Sunday with your nickname having the tag _backup (Ex: Wolf_backup). You will then fill the spots of all no-shows. Thanks, Wolf If you think someone signed up after you and got in, you could be right. I selected people somewhat randomly out of the ~200 emails I got towards the end, trying to give some people a chance at getting in. Sorry if you were excluded. It's nothing personal. Good luck to all participants ! Remember, being a back-up player is as easy as showing up.

When do you think that the bracket will be up to see who I'm failing against?

Did all of those big names really sign up in the first 43 minutes of this thread being open? I mean, it's all good if you handpicked players for a far more entertaining tournament. I'm a spectator too. It may be a little misleading, however, to say its open to everyone regardless of rank/ladder standing and then handpick people based off of popularity/high standings. Some players earned the right to enter based upon their medal qualifications. All other players, or 'big names' got in due to the timing of their entry (yes, most of them sign up almost immediately after my thread is posted) or because I promised them a spot previously for winning a contest, or doing a favour for me. As I've said, I've gotten about two hundred signups, and some people are just simply not going to be able to enter. Another problem for some people is that they signed up using the thread. It's hard for me to manage that, along with email and PM. It's also harder to keep track of those signing up using the thread, and I discouraged it several times (both in my OP and in posts in this OWC and former ones). Next time, I'm just going to completely disallow it. In fact, I'm fairly certain next time I'll have only one way of signing up. We'll see how that goes. If you didn't make it in, please show up as a backup. There's always a lot of no-shows. :: One another note, bracket will be put up tonight.

You should make it easier for yourself by just making people pm or just email you. I think that would make things a tad simpler.

I mentioned that possibility. I agree. Another possibility is opening up a 128 tournament. Giving that some thought right now as well.
