The games were only like 7 min, showing that Silver knew he couldn't win in a straight up standard game with harrass etc and probably did something funky. Which IdrA you know, is your weakness most of the time.

IdrA is obviously capable of beating exceptional players, and has proven it many times. He's just far too stubborn to always play safe just incase someone is going to do some crazy early aggression to exploit the weaknesses in a very economical opening.

I think IdrA doesn't care to play safe early if the prize pool is too small, because his play in the Razer KOTB was quite different.

the thing with is vs terran you literally cant play safe, if they wall and leave marines on the edge of their base they can do any number of strategies, all of which have completely different counters.

obviously i cared and did everything i could to win, terran is just utterly ridiculous right now.

it is not a fluke. it is a result of the fact that terran has a million viable rushes that have completely different counters and cannot be scouted, and they have a perfectly solid mid/late game to fall back on that you have to be aware of too. means you cant just cut econ to defend everything, if that were even possible, cuz then theyd run you over mid game.

Silver beating IdrA is a fluke. I'd be upset too if I was a better player who got knocked out due to cheese BS, because everyone knows that cheese crap is going to make a very boring final game. IdrA would have at least provided entertaining streams/replays.

When Silver wins a bunch of tournaments and does 1/4 of what IdrA has done maybe people can say it wasn't a fluke.

Did you see the games against silver, or how do you know how he played this tournament? I don't think they were streamed.

yeah I already knew that Silver played Terran, I was trying to make the point that a worse player is capable of beating a better player if the worse player plays Terran. Not gonna take away from Silver, you still need a lot of skill to play at the highest level, but you still have to account for the Terran Skill Inflation (TSI)
