Excellent, this should be a great rematch. Is TLO playing as random or Terran now?

Gogogo! We should compile a full list of all "official" tournament and match games between these two players, keep a total score, and gradually bring it to Bo100+. Always exciting to see how their styles interact.

Here're the results I've found so far (some of the tournaments' archives don't work anymore, so I'm probably missing a few matches):

TLO - WhiteRa (list of games follows!)
+ Show Spoiler +
1-3 TLSC2I1
2-3 HDHI1
2-3 Fragster showmatch
4-1 9th July showmatch
----
9-10

Pretty close and competitive overall, after ~20 games.

I hope replays are made available by the casters. I'd like to try shoutcasting this on a later date (still quite a newb at casting), which is why I'd like a replay. Hopefully this match does not have any lag.
You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

Yes! That most recent Bo7 was very disappointing, seemed like WhiteRa was having countless issues with many things. I am looking forward to an awesome show(re-)match!

I'm not sure I could livestream this since I'd probably be at work, but i'd be willing to shoutcast them to youtube and uploaded by the next morning.

Nice.
Saw the first one live, and I am now excited to have another one in the near future.

I was wondering if there would be anybody interested in a german cast, as TLO is from Germany obv. . I mean, how many people would tune in for a german cast, are there any numbers or any experienced casts in the past?
Any german speakers interested ? Maybe we can have an extra thread or get in contact by PM?
Cheers

Thank God, WhiteRa was clearly not in his usual shape last time. Now that both players had time to hit the Battlenet I hope so see some World Class play :D

epiiiic. Will TLO play random or not??? I really like his ZvP style though I think he has better chances with T.
I'll just say it with a great german band: "I don't care as long as you WIN"!!!! =D

Yay, rematch!

The last showmatch wasn't bad but + Show Spoiler +
quite unsatisfying considering the DC and all the lag ruining whitera's game. Sure TLO finally beat WhiteRa for once, but not for the right reasons..
Looking forward to this!

WhiteRa vs TLO = favorite player vs favorite player = EPIC

Now I just wanna see TLO vs Idra as well and I'll be happy.

EDIT: Husky & HD: Do it together!

I used datetime BBCode in the post then if you'll set your timezone in profile, it should be to convert GMT to your local time.

Otherwise use http://www.worldtimezone.com/ because you have at least 3 various timezones in Australia

Awesome, a match-up that great deserves a rematch with more stability and less lag!

I tuned in for the last one, I'm going to try to catch this one also. Since HD and Husky are casting, I presume that SHOULD I miss it, there will be some (quick? ) VODS down the road.

This is pretty much the epic foriegner matchup right now and I really love to see these two battle it out. This reminds me of the great rivalries such as draco vs mondragon and nony vs idra when they were in korea

going to miss Forsti.henning's English commentary. Hopefully the lag isn't an issue for this match.

do we know if TLO is going random or if he is just swapping between Zerg/Terran?

TLO vs Whitra is one of the most fun(gal growth) matches to watch WhiteRa has his proxys and TLO has his randomness and creative play. CAN'T WAIT!

Argh, I was waiting until 1:00EDT only to find out that it's the 13th instead of the 14th. Woe is me.

I'm predicting White-Ra will take it 4-2.

White-Ra just can't let showmatches be decided after losing one series (like vs machine), can he? :p

I think having too much of these show matches kinda kill the rivalry as much as I love watching. It's much more interesting with more on the line if they meet up during a tourney. Having said that, this rematch is a must since the last one had too much lag.

Just to be safe this is gonna happen in 2.4 hrs right? 1pm eastern.

If White-Ra.com is right with the times which it definitely is, yes. Would be nice if someone edited the OP to avoid confusion. It`s 19CET/18GMT/02KST.

I just want to mention that this will NOT be on my stream. It will be on HD's stream. No reason to split it up

Also might want to set your stream to live on TeamLiquid.net so you can get 5k viewers instead of only 1200. =P

TLO opens with reapers/hellions/cloaked banshees. White-Ra's probes had to do some running, but his nat expo still stands.

I think HD is only streaming hid mic to Ustream, considering how nobody can even hear ingame sounds. Really unfortunate.

HD and Husky are good at what they do best (youtube video posting)

But they suck big time when it comes to streaming...

We need some english caster to come and fill up for them.

HD and Husky are quite good in my opinion. They are not Day9 but no one can deny they know how to get a crowd. One thing that bugs me about their streaming is how unprepared they always are.
But their youtube channels are fun to watch.

wow, this was for me one of the very most exciting games of SC2 so far
That epic nexus snipe with the super low hp marines, the dramatic question of bunkers finishing in time, that nice supply depot block to trap the zealots..... woah

yay we finally hear husky

Wow. 2-Base Battlecruiser. TLO is ****ing awesome. BC's alone could have made that the best game of this series. But then he also had the EMP and Nuke on the cliff. Which made it official.

Stalkers have range 6 marines have range 5 and maurader have 6. If you have a wall vers toss stalkers can kill supply depots w/o marines fighting them, so what is the point of a wall? Yes good versus 2 gate but white ra never 2 gates.

He ended up indeed having zlots in his base a couple of times in the second game. If he wasn't TLO, with such good micro, that could have been a bigger issue, but not for him.

The only reason he had to have good micro is b/c of his building placement. When I play TvP I make a wall from my gyser closest to my ramp to my CC with rax/depot and the zealots have to run around mineral line or around whole CC and die before they get to my first marines.

so interesting to see the mind games and strategies when the whole thing isnt completely changed because of a different map.

Well, there is a clear curve in time towards the most recent matches getting better for TLO, while still White-Ra has advantage in the match score, which is 2-3.

Were there any Lag problems in this game as well? I may be a huge TLO fan, but before these last 2 showmatches, I had ranked White-Ra higher than TLO in my personal rankings. Is WR just rusty or something? Or does he just do better in a tournament setting? 'cause these games were not the WR I had come to know and love. I have a hard time believing that this WR who just lost 4-0 is the guy that won the HDH and placed 2nd in Altitude.
You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

Thanks just annihilate melee, it's not even close. Charge + massive zeals, and even with no supporting units the tanks still win.

Wow so this has just got to be an absolute disgrace to the HD and Husky duo. Aside from the technical difficulties the players played on the same map on ALL games. If you are gonna do a showmatch please make it interesting! I don't understand why they just didn't do a single cast. It would be much better overall than a half cast for the live viewers who took the time to watch!

One of the best definitions of insanity is trying the same thing and expecting a different outcome. TLO just mopped up any void ray aggression again and again, kept his cool and played thoroughly.

White-Ra seemed to be losing his cool a bit to the end, making silly errors and such. Still, fun to watch, TLO remains my favourite player for displays like this: Solid play, fun times (Archon nuuuuke) and just knows how to win.

I dunno it was like TLO doing random shit and Whitera playing like a total newbie

Yeah gotta agree with that, lost temple is good and all but so mundane to watch it 4 times in a row.
Would have liked to see Metalopolis at least in the mix :/

This was not something HD and Husky came up with, so I wouldn't put the blame on them for the same map.

Obv they had some tech difficulties, but its not like this was "their" showmatch

Great post. I do want to note that I'm a big supporter of weighing the more important matches heavier. White-Ra is only slightly ahead in tournament results. They're both absolute top in tournaments. I think this early into the game you can't really say one guy is better than the other skillwise. It'll shift back and forth.

p.s. Idra placed second in Altitude and Tester got first.

I didn't say anything about it being HD and Husky's fault.
In fact, I was watching the Russian stream.

The reasoning behind reactor'd hellion against VR is because I guess hes anticipating the switch to chargelots which is becoming pretty commen.

But man, those games were cringe worthy. TLO played good, but nothing spectacular, but whitera making all kinds of mistakes.. Like him placing his 4 stalkers between the entrance to his base and the watch tower.. basically letting 3 hellions run up his ramp for no reason.. I almost thew up :s

But even chargelots suck against tanks, and marines are far and away better than hellions against everything else that you would want vs tanks, like blink stalkers and immortals, and they scale a million times better. The build wasn't logical, it was just TLO being able to do anything he wants cause Ra played so bad.

Actually it was HomerJ's stream. We did this dualcast, since we are the two best known german casters in sc2 (so far) we were both invited. Actually HomerJ has an even bigger fan community around him, than i could hope for. HomerJ has the way better CPU, so he brought this smooth stream to you.

mod edit: removed - this is not a charity site

Thank you for for compliments, but I personally like Husky+HD very much! I am really looking forward to the next HDH!

When HD was having stream issues, I jumped on the German stream. It was very nice. Not the highest quality resolution, but I think that's mostly a Livestream issue. I'm American, but I've studied German extensively in high school and was able to follow the commentary well enough to know that you guys did well together. Very much enjoyed it as a stand-in.

You are the disgrace here. Didn't you complain enough during the stream? HD AND HUSKY DIDN'T ARRANGE THE SHOWMATCH! Are you going to blame them for something that is totally out of control? WhiteRa choose the map as the loser. Blame him if anyone.

Really expected more from these games. They had their moments, but generally fairly dull and pretty damn one sided. As mentioned "looser picks map" is pretty boring, if its a show match then, in my humble opinion, it should be organized in a manner that makes it as interesting and fun as possible to watch.

Watching HD & H's stream chat I can see that the maturity level is fairly low and there is a lot of crying and whining going on (oh no, technical difficulties on free entertainment!). Hopefully they won't all come here to TL or else the Banlings are gonna be busy... Overall pretty good show, too bad the games were so one sided and on the same map.

HD & Husky (together!) were commenting the last game, so finally the initial technical issues were fixed. Just wanted to let you know, in case you didn't switch back from HomerJ & Forsti stream. About the maps, I was missing something like Kulas/Metalopolis too, although they could have been TLO/WR-favoring, respectively. I'm surprised to say that, but it seems a smaller map like Sands/Steppes, with tighter nat choke, could have brought us a longer game, compared to the couple of close-positions on LT.

Love both of these players. Congrats TLO for some well played matches! It was interesting to see the different techniques both players used on the same map LT in all 4 matches. Despite the outcome, I think the matches were very good and quite close overall.

Epic !
Even thou the result appear one sided, all games were back and forward action packed.
I'm more then happy that I've watched all games. Even thou it would've been better if Husky and HD had a proper stream running. I watched the game in russian and I gotta say that Void (I think ?) did an amazing job. Even me and my "broken" russian were thrilled by his commentating. On the 3rd game the stream broke for me, so I didn't watched it (yet!). And there was a bit of sound issue on game 4, but still, it was better then I expected.
2 of my personal favorite top 3 players were playing so I can't say anything else but thank you guys for making it happen !
Cheers !

As far as the maps go, this was definitely the exception and not the rule; Loser's pick is an otherwise very entertaining and consistently good setup. That said, the crying about the stream issues was indeed silly, as it wasn't a major tournament, nor some massive event, so worst case scenario it was a learning experience that ensured that whatever caused the issue won't ever delay a big tournament or somesuch.

Indeed. I cannot believe the pressure (stress) of a showmatch is on the same level as a big tournament. Some players perform better under stress, while others is the complete opposite. But in the end, winning big tournaments is the ultimate prize.

Imagine where TLO's level of play will be in a year from now. I think we're all hoping for great things from him

I'm a fan of both TLO and white-ra, so I was just happy to see them play.

However, upon watching the replays from their first show match, an odd thought occured to me.

Was white-Ra drunk while playing?

Go back and watch the games with that in mind (the first showmatch). The random motherships, the weird void ray control, storming his own units. If someone asked me how I I thought White-Ra would play while drunk, I would've answered with exactly what he did.

+ Show Spoiler +
I'm not entirely serious. Mad respect to both players.

I just want to clarify that we did not run this whole thing; we did not put it together, contact the players, choose the maps, etc.

We tried to make it a dual cast at the last minute and weren't quite prepared when TLO and Whitera started the game. We were hoping to get a couple more minutes to set everything up but they were ready to go.

Sorry for any technical difficulties on our end.

I seem to be dissapointed with White-ra showmatches, he does pretty much always the same strategy every game, no major changes and as shown vs TLO 4-1 and then 4-0 gets caught out. He did play badly from what you can see in the replays with many mistakes so posibily he may of managed ot take a few games here and there but otherwise I was very dissapointed.

WhiteRa seriously needs to work on a few new builds for PvT. It seems like he used a voidray (unsuccessfully) every single game in both showmatches. It was just much worse the first showmatch due to latency. TLO's TvP, on lost temple at least, appeared to be very solid, especially the second showmatch. TLO showed some crazy marine micro, I really didn't know they could be that effective against P without mauraders.

Um toss is so limited vs terran at this stage imo he cant do much,

He can try what , early ht + collossi ? Takes up ridiculusly amounts of gas to do this while terran can just rush you with steam marines and few marauders and totally win.

What exactly can do fast enough apart massing stalkers at the beginning , maybe add more sentries but that too takes too much gas , you cant have early on.

---- Third game , im a bit of curius , i mean first thing you learn as a noob in sc2 always try to scout.

Ra is in advance position at a point , but he just doesnt scout , tlo uses the superior terran macro to pump some fast cash and mass Battle cruisers.

If had scouted he could have counter this easy rly not a good play there from ra .

---------seen 4th game as well.

common siege tanks are a cheat esp with some suvs repairing them vs toss

What are u talking about? He DID scout them. Didnt u saw all thoose voidrays he was massing?
The problem is voidrays dont counter bcruisers if they have a yamato cannon wich is kinda... there is no unit now in protoss arsenal to counter BC's if they have yamato.

Yeah I think this is one of the reasons that this is giving White Ra so much trouble. TLO is just so efficient with marines that even when White Ra gains a strategic advantage TLO is still able to macro well enough to stay in the game.

Game 4 was a blast! I hope they continue to build up this 'rivalry' because they are such a dynamic matchup.

Sorry to break it to you but if the first unit of a race can hold up against everything that a protoss throws to them ( or almost anything ) there is something wrong here.

also it were the siege tanks that won , apart that game 3 which outsmarted ra and used bc's

Btw this http://sc2casts.com/cast82-NaNi-vs-TheLittleOne-Best-of-3-GLHF.it-Invitational-Quater-Finals Is what would have happened if Ra didnt used vray or air at start ,

streamrolled from mass marauders ,
