actually yeah.. top 4 from each team could totally do it.. and then have like a bunch of 2v2 as well.. :D would be a fun event...
the other format just seems too cut-throat.. i wouldn't feel like i am representing anybody except for myself in that situation.

I agree wholeheartedly. I completely missed the part where I would be fighting all my west coast homies when I signed up for this and now I am a sadpanda. I'll still be bringing my (fairly weak) A-game to the table though!

Your suggestions are good, I think we will change the set-up to get the best 4 on each coast, then they will either 1v1 each other or 2v2 each other. Would you like to see 1v1's or 2v2's to determine the finals? Your choice.

Sounds good, if there is a 2-2 match count then they each side will elect the best player to play the last game.

should be... best 4 from each side... 4 1v1 matches (bo3?) and then...
have either 1 or 2 2v2 matches (b/c with 4 players u can make 2 teams each)
if you do 1 team of 2v2 then u can go bo5, no need for tie breaker.. if 2 teams of 2v2 then you can go "tie breaker" and vote for "final showdown" person for bo7... good?

Best 2 top players make a team and go 2v2 to duke it out to see who's the best East or West!

I was wanting the tournament to be more West vs. East, so the best 4 on each time is much better and 1. I think the finals will be 1v1's, and a tie-breaker will be a 2v2 if it comes down to it.

Its really about what you want :D A couple of us were just throwing in some suggestions for the tournament to be more East vs West. There is nothing wrong with your previous format, its your tournament. I'll play whatever the format is regardless ^.^

From a players perspective I would feel somewhat cheated if it went 2-2 and then the match was decided by a 2v2. Its somewhat like saying were going to play soccer and if the match is tied 2-2 at overtime were going to go do a waterballoon toss and the last team with their waterballoon unbroken wins. Just my oppinion ^.^
