Additionally you can't just straight up fast expand like in BW because 2 queens allows you to easily win in economy pressure is a must right now. You should have noticed that nobody fast expands without some early pressure now. All this playing blind thing is something that has to be dealt with. It's like zerg FE, DTs, void rays, 4 gate, 3 gate robo, 5 gate robo-->warp prism and double expand are all viable but you just deal with them. It want to play a good economic build you just have to learn to defeat all the cheeses that players throw at you. You can't be a dominant player by just cheesing every game, you have to be extemely solid mechanically and be smart enough react properly. | ||

The question I pose is whether there are enough weaknesses in a 10gate-forge expand build that warrants something else being the standard (aka Nony's 35 food 3-gate expand timing). It very well may be fine - Nazgul seems pretty confident he could have beaten the Nydus without cutting probes, and his 6-gate play seems more flexible than robo play to counter roaches, hydras, and mutas. I hope Day9 does a daily on the Nagzul build again - maybe the evolution of the game, how the build has changed (less zealot pressure, gateways instead of robo, other small tweaks in the build), and how the counters to the build have grown. | ||
