I hope we see more intercontinental tournaments so we get a more accurate idea of korean vs european gameplay styles and if there's enough they might even merge giving us a global metagame. So whoever was not invited for this one should be in some other tournament, i agree some good europan players are missing.

I find it weird too that Demuslim wasn't invited, and ofc Dimaga but we know his story. As for Brat_OK, he started to get good results in SC2 only recently. Yeah, he won 3-1 vs HasuObs 3 days ago, but the EU line-up was created before that.
Then we have players like Lucifron and Jinro who could as well be in line-up, but that's arguable and there are only 8 spots available. I heard Lucifron isn't practicing that much recently and it might be a reason for him not being in line-up.

Regarding Asia team, they miss some top players too. Freedom and Tester seem to be their very top players these days, just like we have Dimaga and Demuslim in EU

Overall I think the line-ups are good enough to consider it a fair Europe vs Asia competition! Can't wait <:

edit: shouldn't we know the first matches already?

I think the first matches are announced in China so gosugamers is probably writing something to release tonight.

Well there's White-ra, TLO, Nazgul, Naniwa and Strelok so team europe is not too bad after all. I think those are amongst our best if not the best, so missing jinro, demuslim and bratok won't affect the final outcome too much. I don't think the final result is so important, i'm really curious to see how our very top players do against their best, and how these 2 very different playstyles work against each other.

Ya I think Demuslim or Lucifron would have been better choices for Terran... also there's no Zerg player for EU OO! Either way though I think the tournament will be really cool.

You also have to consider that tournaments participants (unless its open) is probably 50% about skill and 50% about popularity , so that's likely the reason you see Strelok in there ahead of other T's.

we have Haypro/Zpux for zerg - and yes, the way people were chosen was between performance/skill and popularity - but that's for both ends - as i would of like to of seen freedom on the korean side as he is a super zerg.

I hope the pro league will have no server segregation problems or even its own server, otherwise blizzard is condemning bnet2.0 to death. Intercontinental tournaments and matches shouldn't be so rare.

Until this monday DeMusliM actually was in the Europe Roster. Ask him why he left :O
LucifroN hasn't been online for nearly 2 weeks now.

Edit: Dimaga isn't allowed to play in any GG.net Events, because he abused in TSL2. He will be able to from June 16th and forth.

Ok
Demuslim, why did you leave the roster?
If you think it's too hard there are solutions other than asking for a nerf, getting better is the first that comes to mind.

Will they play an ace game if the score is 2-2 at the end of the weekend or?

It'll be 16 games in total, if it actually happens that the score is 8-8 after 4 weeks then there will be an ace match^^

But I seriously doubt that there will be a draw after 4 weeks

Wow asia so terran and zerg heavy. Should be really interesting considering that I've been hearing the reason why zerg/terran are so dominant on the asian servers is because the toss over there are not very good.

If that's true, they'll be in for a surprise lol. Anyway, go Antartica!
