Epic! At least I hope so

how about the 3rd/4th place game? the results are not in the brackets and usually you just see the 2nd place finisher as the winner of that game

Not sure why they usually do that, but it has to be either brainbug or Strelok, because the amount of points you get for 3rd and 4th place are different.

Our games will be streamed on Monday too

Which page do you go to for the stream? h.264 free/low quality one?

I don't know why ppl wan't english commentary so much, I've been wathcing Korean VoD's for years without understanding anything.
Besides, most of the commentators atm (exceptions being Day9, Rise and a few others), be it english or German, are kind of incompetent and boring anyways... :S
I understand German, but I mute it, cuz they just talk crap. ^^'

show will start a few minutes late

Agree. Time for us to put some money in e-sports if we want it to grow bigger. Just like in football you pay for a ticket to watch the match.

Demuslim was practicing this build today (or for the past few days I guess), he kinda handed my ass to me with it
Demuslim has problems with lags.. again..
another lag incident for demuslim? are you sure it's not you if it happens this often? i hope it doesn't interfere with the games too much
Jesus christ the caster needs to stop clicking everything a million times.
Demuslim really need to fix his computer/connection. Lag seems to be a constant concern for him.
bitching about lag is fair enough, but waiting to do it til after you've lost the game is hilarious.
demuslim should fix his pc... had same problems on same map on last zotac cup...
Well White-Ra responded a lot better to it than I did
I feel sorry for demuslim... Everytime he gets lagg...
Apparently Muslims have the worst internet evarh! That's the second tourney he's complaining about his horrendous connection :s
every time i watch a stream with demuslim he complains about lag >_<
I think demuslims build is terrible
really bad for demuslim
but the problem almost has to be on demuslim's side (pc, network, ISP, whatever) i mean white_ra plays a gazillion games. ladder, tournaments, invitationals... no one else had problems playing against him...
How is DeMusliM able to get this far quite often but in every final he suddenly has unbearable lag but not in the prelims!?
he thinks it's only against players from ukraine. routing problem from his ISP. but unfortunately for him ukraine has a lot of good players xD
Is demuslim seriously going to blame every loss on lag?
Lags starts when he's losing haha Seriously he should have gone to a friend to play ... he deserves it.
come on... demuslim... you are going to have some difficulties explaining your ISP supporter that lag always starts when you get behind in a sc2 game.
no, just kidding xD. hope you can fix you problems soon
On April 13 2010 03:59 cyclone25 wrote: Lags starts when he's losing haha Seriously he should have gone to a friend to play ... he deserves it.
sign lol
even if it is lag at this point nothing you can do, suck it up and be mannered for tv imo
one thing that i dond get is, why does demuslim always complain about laf AFTER beeing in disadvantage/dead? thats just stupid, say it at start or make it like him and look like a whiner...
Lol yeah that's just so bad. Hey I'm losing, damnit! But only because of lag. Can't take him serious from now on.
i liked demu, but this is lol. when somebody rapes ur minline with a DT and u have no energy for scan, lag is not the problem.
Something is wrong with the routing on BNet for me when i play players from Russian/UKR - i don't have any idea what it is or any solution on how to solves it (no LAN play obviously brings problems).
For wc3 BNet (the first version), the UK had similar problems but vs scandinavian countries vs BNet (most of the time players would disconnect) but now it just seems that i'm having troubles with eastern European countries.
Edit: Just to make the lag issue clear - it starts roughly 1 minute into the game, every time - and gradually gets worse - if you play with any kind of lag what so ever it's gonna throw you off but this is pretty much unplayable. - My screen has roughly 7-10 fps - and spikes ridiculously bad - if i chat it will come up with 2-3 chat lines at a time rather than when i actually finish my sentence. Alot of my actions don't even happen.
SC2 is not P2P, right ? So his connection to Ukraine can't be a problem.
no 3rd game demuslim went offline

Yeah, sure and you never get outplayed. Oh, no. Durrrrrr.
I like DeMusliM but forfeighting like that.. don't know. No matter if he could micro better, it was the builds that won both games for White-rA
besides all lag issues. i really don't like thors in TvP. they get raped bigtime by immortals and marines to block/protect can be picked of by sentry/zeal early and storm late...

Unfortunately you will never have a chance to win anything if you lag against ukranians because they are pretty much dominating atm T_T
also you should resign from invite tourneys where you are bound to run into an ukranian player. nobody wants to see forfeits.

Someone get R1CH to fix this for DeMusliM, I doubt this will be his last match against an Ukranian.

we could trust you a little bit more, if you would talk about the lag in the first few minutes of the game, but lately.. it's always been after you're losing fights that you talk about the "lag" that you're getting.

yea swissvpn.net costs few dollars for a month
Lol is White-Ra going Zerg now?
i lost both games, admittedly which is why i gg'd - but i'm not gonna waste my time playing when it's obviously a problem that can't be solved - it's not fun for me, and it's not fun for the spectators seeing a player not perform his best.

I tried roughly 5 regames vs Crybaby - and i lagged exactly when the 9th scv popped out, it's exactly the same vs whitera - it's a routing problem.

No one should accuse Demuslim for faking lag... SC plays might not know him but he has a very good track record in wc3.

Of course you admit to losing the games. We all saw that happen. But did you lose because of lag or because White-Ra countered you. Now that is the question.
well day9 said that since patch7 (or 8?). sc2 has some memory leak issues which can cause serious lag/freezing of the screen after some playing time (depending on pc it never happens, happens after couple of games or even happens in first game after some time).
maybe just try with a laptop/friends pc. if it is routing it should be present from very first second of the game...

Yeah. No one also should accuse Korean progamers of cheating. They are very good in Sc after all.

do you think i'd really play all day in 2 tournaments, to play vs 2 separate people from the same part of the globe, to lag vs both of them and waste the whole day by forfeiting? The fact that it's only happened twice, and both games were such important ones - (both with money on the line = important) a semi final of zotac and a final of this, i'm literally pouring with sweat i'm that furious about it.
so just so we're clear: white-ra won?
(cause the current game is strelok vs. cantrememberhisnamerightnow)
or perfect-privacy they have servers all over the world.... dunno if the routing will be better ... but its worth trying

i don't want to type a few paragraphs about how you are using stupid arguments in a thread where it doesn't matter
basically demuslim has a clean history and is a very mannered and serious player, there is no reason to think he suddenly is attempting to sabotage himself in multiple tournaments
anyone that says so either does not know him from before SC or is just looking to stir up shit

I seriously doubt Demuslim is making things up, seeing as he has very little gain from it.

Thor drops into double expand into Marauder/tank, nice play by terran.
if you rewatch the game, as soon as i killed observer (something that requires a flick reaction, like hotkey->scan) i said "lag". The lag starts as i said, 1 minute into the game, it just goes jumpy and chat goes in stints of every 3 secs. I feel my units warping and certain commands don't react.
As for trying to say "lag" at the right time, i think that's abit of a silly argument you're trying to put forward.

It is easy to determine, what is the source of a lag: pc/internet or imagination... Just watching how the cursor goes
But obviousely it is not connected to the opponent's location - it just dont matter, because THE PLAYER exchenges his traffic with BNET Servers ONLY. so...
DeMusliM, buy a new hardware, install a fresh windows, check your firewalls/AV, kick your ISP but dont blame "Eastern Europe", oh god, please...

If he gets repeatable lag which always starts at the same time vs eastern european players, I'd say this is a bug on blizzard's part. I mean why would he lie and forfait, if this happens (and it's possible) what can he do, it's a shitty situation.
And if there are bugs, the location can matter, all Ukranian games are routed through the same server probably and a glitch can occur just there.

No reason why Ben would ever make this up, Known him for years and he's far from a bad loser or an excuse maker, I'm sure of that, other than that the times I was in UK and played on Bnet i seriously thought it was a joke, I'd have a better connection to US servers from my own home than from the uk to euro server, so seeing him having problems in sc II doesnt surprise me, just hope its fixable ;(), tough luck for the finals, but white ra impressive nevertheless, great player <3 but so is Demuslim

All islands have notoriously bad routing.

for what its worth (probably nothing, but meh, I'm in the thread, might as well contribute), I'm another GB player and have noticed massive, borderline unplayable lag in a few games today (to the point where I went to micro a pair of near-full HP colossus out of Hydra fire, only to find that by the time my actions registered, both were dead ¬_¬ ). I've noticed lag issues the past couple of days (haven't been playing the beta long), but today was by far the worst.
