It's going to be a long event so be prepared.

There is a possibility of having to play a prelim match if you are a lesser ranked team. My idea is to have the tournament be a 16 team bracket, with certain teams having to play each other to get a placement prior to tourney start. This is to keep the time frame reasonable for casters and players.

I will try to come up with the fairest and best way to allow everyone to compete and have a chance, instead of cutting off the teams at a certain number.

Already at 18 teams with a lot of time left.

Why dont you make it 32 teams and make it a 2 day event?
The "free agents" could easily just be made into teams, that way they get to play and dont have to wait around for someone to message them.

I think making it a 2 day event, at least for now will be more trouble. I can divide the number of teams in half with a preliminary match to be played sometime before event start, with minimal trouble and the 2 teams could find a decent time for both of them (probably an hour or two before tournament for most).

That would allow me to handle 32 teams as if they where 16, with some hiccups if teams can't find times to play one another.

Saturday Iccup TV is doing a league match, so it would have to start even earlier in the day, and force iccup tv casters to do marathon..

so I doubt that would be any easier

The only other day is Friday, which is obviously not too popular either. Sadly I doubt there will be a date change without a lot of feedback and a good time/date to move it to.

Hey I will update the thread late tonight with all new additions. Sorry for any delays

Note to all teams, be prepared to possibly have a preliminary match sometime before tourney start time. I want to start the tournament in the round of 16 already, to cut down about an hour of casting time to help the casters out a bit and make things run smoothly.

I will contact you through PM, and post in the thread, when/if the preliminary matches are arranged. You will have anytime before the tournament start to play these matches (arrange a time). Any problems arranging the match should be reported to me we can come up with a fair solution.

Just want this event to be as fun as possible and run with few hiccups

It didn't seem too big of a deal and I know axslav has been playing random. If people really don't like it or race picking becomes too widespread I will amend it. It seemed more because he didn't like the mirror matchup than for any advantage.

Aka he plays PvZ, and ZvP. Showing he doesn't think one is really imba or anything, he's just avoiding mirror matchups.

But again I can change this ruling if people are upset.
