Hey, there's a serious lack of big maps so I made this. We played some 14 player free for alls on it, it was a lot of fun.
Map Preview
It may not be balanced enough for the OSL but it's meant for some light hearted free for all fun! All the bases have a relatively easily defended natural and a harder to defend third.
Here's the minimap:
Small white dots are destructible rocks. Big large dots are start locations or watchtowers...

As to why it's called super garden of war? It's a long story... Anyway, I'm working on a 16 player map right now, it's gonna be nuts. Anyone else like bigffas?

Maybe you should mark the starting locations on that screenshot?
14 player FFA sounds hilarious, pity I doubt I could ever find 13 other people to play it :/

Fine! I had the picture open in photoshop so I quickly added some red stars on the start locations for ya'll
And yeah, with the way bnet2 hosts maps I don't think it'll ever be possible to host public bigffas... I put my email on a bunch of websites so I had like 100 realid friends on my friendslist so I could just send out a broadcast and get a ready & willing bigffa crew (then the reset happened and that was the end of that)

This is awesome! I love big maps as well, and I thought having 8 players was crazy enough, but 14 ... wow.
And I've always loved this kind of stuff for LAN parties! ... oh, wait ...

I don't have beta, so what is the limit on players in SC2? Is it 16?

How many players are allowed in one game? And what happens to colors at that point?

15 is the maximum amount of players in one game, and there are unique colors for all.

i feel sorry for the poor sob that spawn in the center
atleast the ones along the edge will most likely only get attacked by a few opponents at the time. those in the middle can easily get pincered by two forces (atleast one must be air... but hey)

maybe u should give the start locations in middle some extra money or so because corner positions will always win :D

Yea I would give middle positions some type of atv to offset their poor location. Looks great though, I would love to do a FFA on this map!

Does SC II even calculates units and buildings through fog of war?
If yes , then theres going to be a lot of lagg
