Doctorasul Romania1145 Posts July 09 2009 11:17 GMT #106 Going to private LANs to play for a couple of hours with friends is a big part of how I discovered BW; I haven't gone to one in years but if I would want to introduce someone to BW I think that's where I'd take them - the game is already installed, you just have to sit down and play. My computer is part of a LAN together with maybe 80 or so computers from my neighbourhood.. in the good old days we would play a lot over LAN - I befriended some of them this way and I probably wouldn't even recognize them on the street otherwise. I actually recently got an e-mail from a guy I met this way from the neighbourhood saying he's so excited for everyone to start playing again, like in the old days. Whatever system they implement, hopefully it won't take that joy away from us.

Lan gaming is an essential role in SC. So they will include some kind of feature where the latency will be at that point where progaming will become possible.
