I think he overused it, but unlike most overused jokes it hasn't become grating, just not funny. Like, I don't mind when he says it now, it just doesn't get a laugh out of me by itself. Either way it is still a decent way to pass the time while not much is happening in game imo.

Tasteless was so goddamn funny in the GSI and GSL season 1 that I would watch every single game no matter who was playing, but season 2 i felt that he wasn't as inspired or something and pandabearguy became somewhat of a crutch for him, and now I only watch select games from go :\.

Daniel lee has started to make gom a lot more funny as of late. Personally I feel that GSI and GSL season 1 tasteless offered a lot more insightful analysis and such than he currently does, but maybe that was because I didn't know as much about SC back then. the GSL's main appeal to me now is how funny tasteless/daniel lee can be.

who considered it as a joke or that it claims to get real lol's out of people all the time anyway? i saw it just like a cute addition or a little trademark of tastless and his casts. nothing more or less. for me he can mention him if he like and nothing else happens or he can just stick with the game. i wouldn't mind either way.
