I will drop out of my current classes -> enroll in Korean 101 -> work tirelessly for years to become Brood War fluent -> then I will watch the Korean stream, the way God intended.

If there was no other option I would likely watch the playoffs at least over Korean Afreeca, but lets hope the English community stream is gonna be awesome

Nyoken + Scan gonna cast it for sure. Imo it's an amazing replacement, even if we will not see Tastosis back.

It will not change my viewing habits. Always watched ASL, never preferred the English cast.

You didn't really include a poll option for that. ("I'll watch the Korean stream", in context, reads as "I'll change my habits by watching the Korean stream," which isn't my situation.)

I only started watching ASL to get an additional Tastosis fix, but found myself liking the players and games as well. However, whenever I’ve watched BW without Tastosis, I find myself skipping through the videos. There’s a lot more early-game dead time compared to sc2, so the casters’ ability to fill that void is something I need to continue watching. I hope Tastosis will be able to do an English cast in the future and like many others, I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is.

I'll probably watch the community streams but not being on youtube is a big pain. I really appreciated that I could watch it on my phone or TV.

I’ll watch no matter what. I wasn’t really around during the pre-SC2 peak of BW so I’m not as used to watching the KR casts as some of you guys are, but i don’t mind it. It does feel pretty bad not having Tastosis casts anymore tho, kinda feels like the end of an era. When I’ve had rough patches over the past decade there was always comfort in knowing I could turn on one of their casts and relax. Imo their brilliance comes from an uncanny ability to recreate the feeling of watching the games with friends despite casting being a one-sided interaction. I’ll miss that a lot.

I’m sure some people are tempted to stop watching all together out of spite for Afreeca or something, but it is important to have some perspective on the nature of this situation. While I wish they would have considered other options (PPV/crowdfunding/make it Afreeca exclusive/etc), I’m still thankful for all they’ve done to keep high-level competitive BW alive. Ultimately Afreeca is a business and must make decisions that will serve the interests of their business first and foremost.

When you were watching the korean stream, you could hear the cheers of the audience when great plays were made, you didn't hear anything from the crowd when watching the english one.
I won't miss it.

It doesn't stream/buffer properly (I'm in ireland) youtube was the only option to watch for me. Personally, I will watch an english cast whomever does it live.
If not I will watch the korean one after the matches even if it means waiting hours for it to load properly.

I watch the VODs anyways so if Tastosis do VOD casts it'll be fine by me. However I'll probably check out how Nyoken/Scan combo will look, maybe it'll be fun, are two of them planning to do live cast somehow or VOD cast?

I'm watching Nyoken and Scan. They are amazing, to have Scan, one of the current best, explain with such depth is truly marvelous. And Nyoken's input is also relevant to what's going on. I am actually glad Afreeca ended the official YT coverage.

Why are you glad Afreeca ended official coverage? Based on the poll it just makes ASL less accessible to the western audience.
