Even if somebody is the best player in the world, you just can't be sure that they will win because they have not reached a level that they are the best in the world by so much that you can rely on it. Even now, ST_Life is for sure not the best player in the world, and he does not have that much skill more than the contestants already there, korean or not. Life was consistent enough not to lose a Bo3+ in ZvT for almost a year. "The game is too volatile" is an excuse commonly used when people's favorite players lose, but don't fool yourself - Life is heavily favored against every single player in this tournament. Will he drop a few maps? Probably, but that happens in every game and every comparable sport.

The "game is too volatile" can either be an excuse or an explanation for why somebody lost, depending on what happens. Of course he's favored, but that doesn't mean that he's infallible. I'm honestly offended that you would suggest something so audacious as fact. It's quite cocky, really.

No mention of Squirtle, Hyun, Taeja, or Violet and then the someone else option? JD alone I think would have a fairly good shot at knocking Life out if they meet in the ro8+, it's not like it's just Life and a bunch of foreigners. Personally, I think Squirtle has got it in him to win it all. He's been in Europe for awhile now iirc, so he shouldn't be jetlagged either. He is that favored, don't fool yourself. Life has won the past two MLG's, he's good at these kinds of tournaments.

Besides, Life is not Flash, which makes this poll not as funny as it is supposed to be
