Naniwa faced all Protoss and Terran players in Season 2, which probably means that he hasn't really been preparing for PvZ (shown by his losses to all Zergs at Dreamhack Stockholm).
Even though his PvZ has improved since Stockholm, he still shows signs of weakness (lost to Hyun and DIMAGA at Dreamhack Summer), so it's going to be hard for Naniwa to defeat the Season 1 Champion DongRaeGu by next Thursday. But then again, Naniwa's beat NesTea in the past, so anything could happen. :D
I'm personally rooting for MC though. BOSSTOSS (y)

I hope Taeja gets to the final this time around, that guy has been killing nerds left and right, and he was unlucky last season. DRG is favorite though I recon, such a strong player, probably the fastest and most mechanically gifted out of all the players left. Seed is not the dark horse. There's actually no way (with the play he showed in the ro16/ro32) that he will get past the ro8. In the ro32, he got an easy group with an underperforming HerO and falling Curious. In the ro16, he beat viOLet by 2 base all ins (honestly this is what's happening in PvZ, I'm not faulting him for it, but it could just go either way with these kind of things. He didn't even micro his immortals into the warp prisms at all. There was nothing inspiring about it. Just a regularly microed, uninspired 2 base all in). He beat TaeJa because of a 4 gate which in all means should not have worked (TaeJa attacking a neutral depot...) and a strong 2base gateway attack which TaeJa didn't handle correctly. Seed is not going to win this season. He's not going to get to the semi finals. He said he wants to be the "face of Protoss" for IM. Meanwhile, Yonghwa is much better than he is and stuck in Code B. Sigh.
You are underrating him. Him vs Symbol is a 50/50 match. If Symbol 3-0's him I will be shocked which is what you are suggesting.
He said in his interview that Taeja was predictable and that is why he did those strategies. You do not know that the 4-gate wouldn't have worked without that mistake from Taeja.

Symbol v DRG in finals, DRG wins.

I think DRG gonna win this. Disappointed that Marineking couldn't participate

DRG MKP GSL finals would be epic, but its nice to see new things as well. they always give great epic games though.

Umm he participated.... He just lost.

I cannot believe that Seed is at the bottom and Naniwa is 2nd. xD People just voting from their hearts.
Seed has an infinitely better chance than Naniwa of even making it to the RO4... people be crazy.

I cant even see the poll anymore..does anyone else have this??

I actually voted for DRG because i think he plays a slightly safer style and is maybe a little better mechanics-wise, but really it's pretty close to call.
viOlet beat Symbol as 3-1 in MLG plus Symbol lost to Inca who has terrible PvZ as 0-2

Naniwa is in my heart, something tells me he isn't gonna make it, but I hope to god he wins a GSL :D.

Mind says MC or DRG.
Heart says Naniwa.

Either DRG, Symbol or TaeJa imo, but Byun and Seed are skilled enough to win, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see any of them in the finals.

So few votes for Seed, anyone seen him playing lately?

LOL? You are totally wrong!!
Let me explain it, In the first set, He didn't do two base all-in like MC usually sticks to He started with two-base in order to take certain advantage (removing Zerg's main base + harrassing other expansions) and when he achieved them, he just got another expo and had a defensive position. (It's not called "all-in") You can check it out at GomTV that Seed just stabilized his third base when viOlet rushed him at last moment.
and in third set, there needs even no explanation.... He just got his 3rd as fast as zerg did and outmacroed/outmicroed viOlet's army.
I think you just wanna spread wrong information on Seed but actually Seed is much more famous for his late game macro/deciosion making :D

Taeja. he's beasting it out lately.. wouldn't surprise me him still being a monster for the rest of this GSL
|
if mc gets by taeja, then he will most likely face a zerg in the semis and finals, and we all know how mc handles zerg
if u dont know, MC crushes zerg, watch the games against stephano from redbull battlegrounds in austin
