Well then get rid of the hide spoilers button if it's not going to hide all the spoilers.

Bling, on the other hand, has pretty much never been a big name, always hovering in that good-but-not-great semi pro area. Polt won the friggin GSTL. Need I say more?

Oh yeah, I would have said bling over polt for sure if polt wasn't having a bad few weeks, and BlinG has been playing the best sc2 of his career. Even outside of tournaments polt is looking pretty shaky, and that's where he shines.

Bling's best matchup is PvT and PvT is the second most common matchup for foreigners to upset Koreans Lucky is only good against terran if he's playing MMA JYP vs Terran. Lol. The answer is Ret vs MVP.

Ret vs Mvp: This is my pick. ZvT isn't even Ret's best match-up, IMO, while it is easily Mvp's best. Mvp just a couple of weeks ago was almost universally considered the best player in the world. This is a MASSIVE win for Ret. JYP vs DieStar: JYP against a Terran...honestly, any Terran could beat JYP and I wouldn't be surprised. BlinG vs Polt: This is huge, but BlinG has shown flashes of brilliance before, so this isn't as big as Mvp vs Ret. Strelok vs Lucky: Meh. Strelok is sometimes really good at TvZ. I would have said Strelok had at least a 20% chance of beating Lucky.

Polt has been "slumping" ever since he won the GSL champions league. That was a while back and he has literally done nothing since. I'm not saying MVP isn't in a rut and Nestea is a little sporadic these days but their play recently has still far surpassed that of Polt.

ret is a total beast and can beat mvp on a good day and strelok/bling/diestar are great players so not so it's not as much of an upset as demu beating nestea

Putting it in the heading is unnecessary.

Ret > MVP is pretty damn big I think, cause RET's ZvT isn't that good Imo. Bling > Polt is pretty hughe aswell, cause Polt is a fckin Monster and Bling still an upcomer. So i think it's Ret>MVP and Bling>Polt is kinda equal upsetwise.

Nestea is great but his TvZ is his weakest, while its demuslim, ah still not as big.. if it was lets say Idra beating Nestea , then yeah its an upset, but TvZ Nestea is not invincible. EDIT: Also where is Grubby 2-0ing LosirA go?

DeMuslim and Ret winning these in Korea in a GSL setting would be a bigger surprise, even if both are very capable.

Both have their merits, but Koreans definitely are out of their comfort zone when it comes to foreign events. Its not about giving 110% every single game, just 100.1% so you dont burn out by the third series.

If you don't want to get spoiled for whatever reason then this should also have been hidden.

Bling vs Polt was a little more interesting to me. Maybe because I saw bling lose like 5 times in a row vs stephano on stream the other day so I don't expect much. Congrats to all the awesome pro players!

I'm like ok that's cool but idk who he is. next thing he takes down polt

Wasn't too big of an upset for me. I gave Nestea and edge but not a giant one. Nestea has been really weak lately and I don't consider him one of the top zergs atm. Also demuslim seems very strong vs Z from what I've seen. JYP - DieStar: Don't know anything about DieStar and haven't seen JYP play a lot. Just don't have an opinion on it... BlinG - Polt: I consider Bling to be really fucking good. Still takes 2nd place imo, cause polt is a monster. Strelok - Lucky: nah. Strelok is T. Ret - Mvp: Huge upset. While mvp might not be in the best shape ever, I still thought he'd crush ret. My choice.

Let's face it, all other foreigners in this poll bar maybe bling (who is vastly underrated imho) can be expected to take a bo3 off koreans, but diestar? no, not really.

We've always envisioned our site as a place where we can have live, up to date news. We want fans to come to our site and see a player holding a trophy with an appropriate headline. This is the future of coverage and where we've always wanted to be as a coverage site. We began as a site during a time with no live streams and everyone read news to see who won last night. Even as technology advanced, the time zone difference made it impractical to watch live for all but the most dedicated fans. But with the SC2 boom, there are plenty of NA and EU events in appropriate time zones. Although many fans still use VODs, live viewing is now the norm. Professional StarCraft 2 resembles live, mainstream sports for most of its fans, and we believe it's finally time to provide fast, up to date coverage on events as they unfold. This is in the Teamliquid news post ..... This is the direction the site wants to go in. They warned everyone ahead of time that this was comming they prolly havent gotten all the bugs aka spoiler button should be removed eventually.

Even more, Nestea's weakest matchup is ZvT, Mvp's best matchup is TvZ. Ret beating Mvp was the biggest upset no doubt, not only thanks to the skill gap, but because Mvp isn't one of those players who makes sudden blunders a là ZergBong.

Demuslim is kind of a bigger upset because it was one of the first matches played in the tournament? Nestea defeated from the start by a guy who made it to MLG by the skin of his teeth. That being said, if we're comparing pure feats of strength here, the biggest upset to me is Bling v. Polt. Polt didn't play "bad", and yet Bling crushed him. I hadn't seen such one-sided games in favor of a (pretty much unproven) foreigner against a top Korean since TSL 3. And you couldn't even blame it on the lag.

I don't want to take anything away from DeMusliM. But his win rate on the NA ladder is only 70%. That's good. But that doesn't make you worthy of being placed on equal foot with someone like Nestea. DeMuslim's play was inspired (in game 1 and 3 anyway), but Nestea didn't bring his A game, far from that. For reference, oGsVines has a winrate of 80% on NA, and 63% on KR.
