Even though the Thorzain vs FD was considered a huge upset. Watching my protoss hero destroy Strelok was the best match for me!

Not really imo, I was much more surprised with jinro vs morrow
A game where the first thing you do is scout with a “worker”. Does that make any sense? Who scouts with a “worker”? That’s like sending out the janitor to perform recon, what general would do that? Retarded game.

Thorzain vs FD for sure, one player played like a former GSL champ and that was not Fruitdealer.

Definitely Thorzain vs FruitDealer. An unknown foreigner beating a GSL champion is not something many people expected.
And about Jinro vs Morrow I don't even know what to say, I would't usually consider a series that ends because of two baneling busts good, but i guess props to Morrow for knowing when to abuse a greedy Terran. To bad for Jinro, he could have definitely taken the entire thing

Tyler seemed to have the most refined play this weekend, so his matches were the best! Strelok also played pretty well so it made for interesting matches.

My predictions bracket is dead now... I picked HuK to win the whole thing! T_T I am disappoint!

Jinro vs Morrow 23%? :/ Only the game two was impressive, other two was just blind Morrow's all-in countering Jinro's build. Honestly, nothing impressive.

Thorzain vs FruitDealer was amazing. I knew FD was underperforming, but wow, Thorzain played incredibly, which resulted in one of the most sided series in TSL3. Second game was just insane, you rarely see Terran macro'ing like that.

It wasnt a blind all in, read the interviews and you can see exactly why he did it.

Anyway on topic: was tyler vs strelock for me although most the games over the last two days have been great stuff to watch.

Had to end up going with White-ra vs. Loner, Thorzain vs FruitDealer was amazing as well but I have to end up going with the amazing micro I saw my Protoss hero use.

Nightend/Boxer had me on my toes the entire time. I was rooting for boxer, and there were a few points i didn't know if he was going to.

(for anyone who has read Starcraft 2: Heaven's Devils)

Its almost like Boxer had to go into that slowed time state (like Kydd when he is doing the sniping training) to get off the perfect emps. You saw how much of a difference EMP placement could make in those games, good emps means you completely stomp the protoss, bad EMPs mean you lose.
Survival is winning, everything else is bullshit.

The Thorzain/Fruitdealer match had it all.

Tip top action-packed macro games, the drama of an underdog beating a champion, what more could you ask for?

I liked Tyler's matches....he looked so strong and his play was so refined.

I actually wasn't too big of a fan of the FD vs ThorZain match...not to take anything away from ThorZain, because his play was strong, but everyone knows that FD is in a slump and hasn't been performing well since GSL1

The biggest disappointment for me was Jinro vs MorroW, I won't say anything MorroW's play because in the end, he still won...but what a HUGE disappointment...

Because of the Zealot or because of Strelok's bad push in game 1?
Don't get me wrong, I know Strelok is a really great player, but he did two big big mistakes that lead to an uninteresting series...
Strelok would've probably won game 2 without this Zealot tho, had he noticed it, the series could've been a lot more thrilling.

Tyler and his baller Zealot was the highlight of TSL3 so far. I'm still amazed at how Tyler came back after losing a lot of his units during that attack on the planetary fortress expansion.

Lets say that the game 1 wasn't a blind all in, because he had analysed Jinro's opening (Medivac's over Tanks/Hellions), but the third game was pure gamble. He didn't knew what Jinro was going to do, he should even had expected Jinro to open with Tanks/Hellions just because of the first game's outcome. However, he didn't. Even in the first game, if Jinro had 15 seconds more, he could have held off that initial push without much losses (Blue flame hellions coming out, bunkers being build). Morrow is a good player, but those games were not impressive at all. Actually, they are the on the same level as BitByBit games in GSL (2 Rax Marine/SCV all-ins).

I hope this was a joke. I'm not saying July is the best in the world, but he is definitely 10 times better than Ciara.
My favorite was Boxer's match. Mostly because I nearly had a heart attack when he dc'd.

i was saddened that none of the games were exciting all were very anti climactic the best games i can remember were nony v strelok @ taldarim and jinro v morrow @ xel'naga nony's game i thought he was dead 100% and jinro just showed such pristine outplaying and systematic destruction of morrow that we came to know from jinro all other games were either sit there build stuff a move hope i win pvt's or cheese (which is not a bad thing ofcourse i'm not whining about it i'm just saying it's anticlimactic and boring to watch) or just people playing really poorly (fd) really unfortunate the games went that way i'm sure tsl will pick up quite a bit in the next round and beyond but right now there are probably gonna be a lot more of these boring games unfortunately =/ i'll still watch ofcourse every jinro v morrow @ xel'naga is worth all the trash games.

I liked the Thorzain vs FruitDealer match. He played really really solid I felt. His timings were spot on, and his macro was fantastic. I am proud to say that I picked Thorzain to win in my bracket contest... Too bad HuK and Jinro ruined my chances haha

An even race between the Thorzain vs. FruitDealer game and Jinro vs. Morrow, but I have to choose the former since it was more unexpected, and 2-0 in Thorzains favor. With that said I really enjoyed Jinro vs. Morrow as well!

..and of course every other games! ^^
No Surprises.

I think this weekend was more about particular games than series but I went with Thorzain vs. FruitDealer.

In my opinion best match would probably go to game 2 of Jinro vs. MorroW and best moment was during game 2 of HuK vs. HasuObs.

thorzain vs FD!
those games were AMAZING to say the least.
thorzain could get real good if he moved to korea. He looked like MVP with MKP splitting. Nasty shit comin out of the non koreans.

MorroW's got a sick ZvT also. Coming back like this after Jinro abused the map design in game 2 was quite astounding.

White-ra vs Loner was the only good series, unfortunately. I mean the thorzain upset is obvioulsy gonna end up first but, just because the names involved, the actual games werent good. JInro vs MorroW was the biggest dissapointment, i was expecting great play and a 2-0 or 2-1 for Jinro, instead i've got 2 allin cheeses and 1 straight up rape

I voted for Thorzain/FruitDealer because... I mean... Come on, that was completely unexpected. And I'm extremely happy for Thorzain, talk about a good way to gain some notoriety.

I haven't watched the White-Ra/Loner series yet, though I do know who wins. It will probably have the best game play.

Morrow v Jinro was just... So disappointing. Props to morrow for winning, but the games were just so bad.

Hasu/Huk was a surprise, but HuK didn't seem confident in his interview anyway, and it's PvP. so meh.

The rest were pretty much laughers imho. Sen/Fenix, I didn't watch though.

Forgot about NightEnd/Boxer that was a pretty good series as well.

Tyler vs Strelok, absolutely loved it, first games watched, amazing impression. Liked the other games as well, but that series got me STOKED for the TSL! Especially when NoNY goes down and catches Strelok MM outside his base, I was thinking, "wtf is he going to engage for?! His colossus is almost out!" and then with killer FF's he tears him apart instead.

I think i like the upsets the most, just because I like seeing the guy everybody knows is going to lose pulling a 2-0, why I voted for Thorzain, and 2-1 so my second choice would be Morrow.

Also why I wanna see MC get roflstomped in the TSL.

And for some reason I voted Morrow because I confused him with Mondragon... so my bracket is intact.

ThorZain vs FruitDealer and BoxeR vs NightEnd
Great series both!!!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

Generally the poll is quite even in votes, which is a good sign considering TL picked good/favorite players of the community, and this shows they did a good job

I loved MC vs Ciara. I don't really know why because what was expected happened and it was a complete steamroll, it's just the ease of how MC won compared to every other series so far in the TSL amazed me.
I also loved how Sen made zerg look OP in ZvT then Thorzain made terran look OP in ZvT, and I have no idea how Thorzain made that happen vs fruitdealer.

Game 2 of Morrow vs Jinro was AWESOME. They both played at their best.. a nailbiter. Super entertaining. Game 1 and 3 were interesting strategically, but as far as entertainment value goes, perhaps not the best.

You've got to give props to Morrow though. He may not be the best player out there but he's a smart one. He studied Jinro, saw what his weakness was and exploited it. To be honest I'd be surprised if we didn't start seeing zerg's playing like this more vs Jinro in the GSL

I thought Ciara vs MC was most comical and unexpected. We all knew MC would win, but who would've guessed that Ciara would make it so easy.

+ Show Spoiler +
Having the 2 drones following a mining drone all of game 1 with HotBid pointing to it repeatedly and the casters not noticing was hilarious.

Ciara defying logic and doing nothing to counter the stargate he scouted while it was still building was also mind boggling.

Agreed I caught the vod cuz I was working and couldnt help but laugh the whole time I saw those drones XD I feel bad for Ciara he must have been completely on tilt since he was playing MC. He probably lost before the games even started to be honest in his mind that is.

I voted the FD games for this poll though since although I expected it many others did not and I also did not expect the games to be as one sided as they were. I mean thorzain just held the line solidly the whole time. Definitely showing that the foreigners have their place among the top players of SC2 atm.

Thorzain wiped the floor with FruitDealer which blew my mind. Yes, Thorzain played awesomely and FruitDealer has been in a bit of a slump, but it was still hard to process. Part of me thinks that lag / hardware problems must've come into play

Wow, I'm amazed at how many people that are complaining at the quality of the games. To me they were all amazing in their own way. I mean MC vs Ciara - It just shows what MC does to the average Joe with a handfull of zealots and a couple of stalkers, MorroW vs Jinro - JulyZerg anyone? Just beautiful..
I guess people get a need to bitch and moan when they lose a liquibet (lol?).
Either way. Awesome games, I can't wait to see the next gones.. coundown's begun

Thorzain-FD gave me legit nerd chills. Thorzain just played so solid from start to finish, always compounding his advantage instead of getting antsy because he was on the verge of a big upset. Awesome set.

Jinro vs Morrow game 2 was easily the most exciting game so far. Game 3 was pretty decent, too, so I'd say that these series were the best.
My second favorite series is a tie between Tyler vs Strelok and White-Ra vs Loner.
Thorzain vs Fruitdealer was quite unexpected but the games weren't really interesting
MC vs Ciara was certainly the worst series to watch since Ciara simply didn't play as good as he normally can, while MC pulled through his A-game => 1-sided stomp...

Voted for Thorzain/FD partly because of the upset but mostly because it is really fun to watch Thorzain's TvZ style (this coming from a Zerg player too).

Not sure why the Jinro/MorroW games are getting so much hate. I'm as big a Jinro fan as the next guy, but MorroW obviously studied up on his opponent and prepared the right builds to attack his weaknesses. It's not like they were 1-base busts...it was pretty high economy Baneling aggression.

Bunkers are free, I'm not really sure why you wouldn't put them down just to be safe.

Still looking forward to Nestea/Goody the most though. Should be an interesting clash in styles.

Morrow vs Jinro was the most surprising, thorzain vs fruitdealer was the more entertaining, thorzain played incredibly well, and just straight outplayed fruitdealer. Jinro lost more because he didn't know how to counter a build morrow had.

biased how? Do you mean i hate the players or what? FD went into panic mode in game one and tried to break an almost unbreakable entrence - twice. 2nd game was good, but still, WR vs Loner had 3 of that kind

Most anticipated Jinro vs Morrow but the games turned out pretty bad. Naturally wanted to see Boxer play as well but the disconnect issues and overall stale games didn't really live up to my hopes either.
In the end I guess HasuObs vs HuK entertained me the most.

I picked Thorzain over FD in my bracket... also think he will beat liquid.tyler and then fall to MC in the rd of 8.

Pretty darn funny seeing all terran being so biased about the MorroW-Jinro match. "Morrow all-ined 2 of the games and Jinro was just very good in game2".

Herp the derp, did Jinro bunker Morrow in game 2 wich led him to a huge advantage? (answer:yes)
If you watch game 3 again you can see MorroW didnt all in at the first attempt (he droned up pretty nice), but he was over-succesful so he could just end it there. Game 2 of this match-up was anyway the most exciting, MorroW could almost recover from that opening.

But anyway I voted for Thorzain, very onesided long games against the GSL champ, hopefully he can practice alot on his weak matchups, so he can take it all, whould be freakin awesome. (Is anyone gonna win the bracket contest then?) :D

Even though I don't care for SC2 very much, I enjoyed the Thorzain vs FruitDealer games. Thorzain played like an utter baller, mad props to the ex-wc3 player!

Thorzain vs FruitDealer was easily the most entertaining games. Highest level of play we have seen on both sides.

FuitDealer played Amazing.

Thorzain played Amamaazazing.

I voted for the Morrow vs jinro match due to the jawdropping play in game two. Was just incredible how Morrow was able to deal with those drops and just staying in the game that long

Of course it is Morrow/Jinro. Even though it fucked up my lb and bracket challenge, but still I'm happier than I'd be with full liquibet and bracket challenge results.

Srsly?! Nightend played with half of his potential and BoxeR could barely beat him.

Thorzain vs Fruitdealer for sure, Jinro vs Morrow was just a big disappointment due to the nature of the games. Thorzain just played amazingly well, even Koreans would appreciate his wins.

Well the Jinro loss messed my bracket up the worst. The FD loss was a shock, but being on MC's side of the bracket it isn't that huge of a deal. White-Ra taught me a few things, and Boxer showed me that legends are to be feared.

Moral of the story, GSL success doesn't automatically translate into TSL success (i.e Huk & Jinro). I think I'm out of the bracket running, but if MVP loses to Adelscott this weekend... I need to vet my "picks" better.

Thorzain vs Fruitdealer was awesome. Impressed to see some really good play coming out of a player I've never seen before.

No one deserves to win but the winner.

Jinro played greedy every game, MorroW countered it. What was he supposed to do, let Jinro expand without pressure like Fruitdealer let Thorzain expand?

Hmm, im surprised most other voted with me (or better: i voted with most others), but thorzain vs fd was definitely the most interesting match, that guy was surprisingly good, i could say, awesome. Keep it up, and he will be the new boxer (even though we have the old one already)

It's a shame I missed ThorZain/FD live, but even on VOD those matches were amazing. Jinro/MorroW was really intense live and I could really see that MorroW used to be T in his strategy.

How can anyone say Jinro vs Morrow was their favorite? It was lololololol baneling bust every game, it just didnt work on game 2. So boring. Also I'm kinda bitter Jinro lost

Seems strange to me that so many people enjoyed watching Jinro throw away 2 games to Morrow basically giving him free wins by fast expanding.

For me it was morrow vs jinro. I really liked the 2nd game, it really showed some high level tvz. The first game bust was something morrow planned for, as he knew jinro 15cced, and he saw the games vs idra and I guess he just executed. At the 3rd game, jinro just made a mistake of having all his scv's clumped, it was pure luck that it happened. Regardless, its always intense to see the underdog win a match, especially after morrow winning the iem of the 5 rax reaper against Idra. I had the intention that FD just threw away the games, but thats just imo.
