GSL 1 > > > GSL 2 >= GSL 3 GSL 1 - In its own nerdy way, Fruitdealer's march to victory was heroic. At the time: all zerg had been eliminated by the ro8, zerg was considered way underpowered, Fruit was doubting zerg himself, the map pool was terrible for him, Intotherainbow was a strong favorite to win, and he was but a fruit merchant. Against all that, Fruit curbstomped the shit out of ItR and claimed his prize. - Tester. The cheese deflecter - TLO vs Hyperdub game 1 was fantastic - Davit - Inca played some good pvp games - Cliiiiide - Maru vs Cella upset GSL 2 - Didn't really care for the finals. I was glad nestea won, but they just weren't very exciting. The games were too low tech. - Kyrix vs Ensnare was good - Boxer vs Nada was epic - Foxer vs Kyrix was even more epic - best music (Hoffmaestro <3) - Hated that TLO got knocked out early - "How do you deal with a protoss who tries to slip his cannon in your backside" - John's speech GSL 3 - Clide vs Leenock is easily the best series to date. Every game could have gone either way and the one of them went far into the late game. - Strongest foreigner showing yet. Jinro was awesome. - No map veto is stupid - Tastetosis is on fire this season with the jokes. I salute Artosis' knowledge of guinea pigs and pokemon. - Sadly, most of the matches have been terrible. There is too much all-in. - We'll likely see the shortest finals ever. I expect a landslide win for MC.

In terms of storylines, maybe GSL 1 has the edge, but in terms of watch-ability, it's #3 by a massive margin. this. seriously, i don't get what's up with everyone hating on this season coz it's been full early game rushes then praising season 2 which was only notable for foxer - who, uhm, kinda invented the marine rush we got this whole season -, kyrix, who was extremely aggressive but not that good, and for a champion who had amazingly solid play but it was hardcore on the defensive side, and when it comes down to comparing to other topnotch players, can only be characterized as idra put it "he's good but not as good as everyone thinks"; he only looked that godly by comparison to the season's lineup ofc, there were nada and boxer -omg, that was epic indeed- , but let's be honest, neither played extremely well; sure they were fun and played a few amazing sets, and they were boxer and nada, and boxer was crying in joy and shit and he's frigging awesome in general, but so far neither of them even came close to the level of play mc and jinro or july showed this season (they actually couldn't even keep up with the pack for this season, nada didn't even qualify while training with ogs-tl of all teams, and boxer was superweak) as for season 1, there were a few strong players like tester and fd, but the level of play was so low compared to the third season that it can't even count (anyone remember nestea's creep spread in s1. ? lol. -and that level of play was the norm then, not the exception), except for names such as the above mentioned which were miles ahead everyone else on the skill curve at that point to just put it in short - to get your mind off the fact that there were indeed many players in this season who didn't deserve to even qualify let alone win some matches (hi overhypemvp, bitbybit) - just compare 1. level of overall play - s.3 was seas apart from the first 2, hands down 2. memorable matches (gosu solid play, not entertaining bling busts/marine rushes of s.2 or weird 6pools on kulas and such of s.1) clide-leenock, mc-july stand out as providing the few possibly best games ever played in any sc2 tourney thus far, and they weren't freak occurences, there was plenty of rock solid play to be had all around this season, starting ro64/ro32 as opposed to the previous seasons getting interesting from the ro16 up - though people seem to think 1 or 2 base play ending matches rather early (~10-15 min. marker) somehow means extended cheese or less skilled play - what ? (ofc, talking outside of marine/scv and weak allins on the first or second attack - by any race, since all 3 did them) 3. jinro and mc - gsl 3 had them. thank you gsl 3 with all your casts, interviews and additional video footage via tl, gomtv or wherever it's why i voted s.3, i think enormities such as "s.3 sucked so much, too much allins" are a disgrace to the best tourney in sc2 thus far ps: i would vote season 2 if the poll was entitled "Most entertaining GSL so far" , i think s.2 was a more entertaining and possibly diverse season (let's remember we saw some pretty original and strangely solid builds/rushes s.3 as well), but definitely not better -in regards to the players' skills sets-, or more fan inspiring -for foreigner and MC (heh)supporters-
