I don't think satellite would help you. It implies something like a 300ms latency due to the distance.
You might get good bandwidth, but the latency is bad. I just thought I'd mention it, because latency kills you with any application where you want real-time input.

16mbps here in the United Arab Emirates => max you can get here is 30mbps and it usually sucks because our ISP is so terrible and its the only one in this country, kind of funny because small rich countries should have one of the best internet in the world

... oh and i pay about 170$ for my 16mbps =/

Wow, I'm jealous...Canada a decade ago was a world leader in residential broadband.

But with our telecom/cable virtual monopolies almost no progress has been made.
