Foxer wasn't in last season.
That said, Foxer has AMAZING micro and great macro, but his strategies need work.
I voted for NesTea because he was HORRIBLE (wat is a creep tumor?!) in GSL Season 1 and just beat BoxeR AND made it look easy.
He also hasn't dropped a single match, unlike FoxeR (who almost lost to a Zerg who a-moves infestors).

SPOILER ALERT: NesT killed Boxer ... losers from non-entertaining matches dont get my vote, even if they do have an awesome legacy from a different video game. What have you done for me lately SlayerSBoxeR?
thanks for putting it in spoiler tags haven t seen the games yet and now its no more funt o watch :/ voted Foxers rise I like him much for changing his name , sounds really cool

foxer, because every terran and there mother go mass marine tank medivac in zvt on ladder, and none of them have the micro to pull it off against ling bling muta ;0

Foxer marine.
But Nada vs Boxer was pretty nice.

Foxer aka Boxer has been the surprise of the tournament! He has definitely given himself a name epically that round against KyrixZenith (first game). Give the kid credit! he beat two of the finalist (with marines) and had one of the toughest draw. His style is unique and exciting to watch! His like the new federer in the gsl. Just Beaut to watch! And he can actually pull off the maka rax and dodge banelings!

Boxer and Nada showmatch done more for SC2 than Foxer, Zenio, Zergbong and fruitdealer together.
|
Friendly reminder: The poll does not concern whether the games of the GSL were entertaining or not but rather about what made the biggest head lines from the GSL. Clearly the two bonjwas return to SC2 battling it out against each other (Disragerding whether the quality of the games) in the quatre finals must've made the biggest impact world wide, given that I even know some people who dont even play SC/SC2, and even less follows the professional scene, have heard about Boxer.
Edit: Atleast that's how I understand it

Wait what? What does Mr. T have anything to do with GSL2?
OOoooh. T. Ahah. I get it.

What have you done for me lately SlayerSBoxeR? LOL I guess establishing esports in korea and coming back in his 30s to make the semis in the most prestigious tournament is nothing. Keep your ignorance to yourself.

SPOILER ALERT: NesT killed Boxer ... losers from non-entertaining matches dont get my vote, even if they do have an awesome legacy from a different video game. What have you done for me lately SlayerSBoxeR? I'm just praying to the TL gods that one of the mods gets pissed enough at this guy... fail spoiler-ing & defouling the name of the Emperor. TL has a nice spoiler button, use it.
lol just because ZB killed Boxer doesn't change the fact that a near-30-year-old legend in ANOTHER game who's far passed his prime STILL made the SEMIFINALS of an international tournament for a brand new game, and that ANOTHER legend who's considered the GOAT of BW happened to meet Boxer on the way there in the quarters. How. The. Heck. Is. This. Not. Winning.
When it comes to the poll, there were generally three rules: 1) When a TL'er appears (Idra Ret Tyler TLO), TL AUTOVOTE. 2) When Boxer appears, BOXER AUTOVOTE. 3) When Nada apperas, NADA AUTOVOTE.
I cannot believe this madness. How in the world is Boxer & Nada not winning... it almost singlehandedly shut down the internet, for christ's sake. IMO the fact that Foxer is doing great should help Boxer-vote, because he's actually doing things that Boxer created with Boxer's ID.

It wasn't a showmatch. Sure it's boxer and nada playing but the series was far from spectacular. Imo Mr. T and Foxer.

Zenio's 'ceremony' doesn't even deserve to be on the poll...in any other country, that would just be what you do when you win an important match. How it is supposedly 'making a buzz' in Korea is completely beyond me.
If you're gonna violate cultural norms you should go all-out like Firebathero.

Foxer finally showed terrans that you HAVE to spread your marines properly to be allowed to whine. His marine spread is really the biggest storyline, not Foxer's personal rise. Everyone did this in bw, but ppl only stop/hold in sc2 in to many cases.

I'm a huge Boxer fan as far as BW is concerned, but I've never seen a Boxer game where I go "wow, that was great play" and NesTea crushed him without batting an eye.
Foxer on the other hand...
Well it says "biggest storyline", so it's not necessarily about the quality of the games but the sheer fact that the two played each other. Also Boxer didnt make me go wow (at least not through his play), but Nada seemed to have really really strong TvZ. And the fact that either of those two go far is big news, no matter how they get there.
Not sure which one to vote for though ^^

FoxeR gets my vote Fruitdealer T.T

Despite how much of a fan of the bonjwas I am, Foxer really impressed everyone with his run to the finals taking out some of the top players from all 3 races.
|
NaDa vs Boxer was definitely hyped up but honestly it wasn't all that great of a series. Boxer beat NaDa pretty handidly. Plus, NO ONE saw Foxer making it to the finals, especially after his showing in the Ro64. I gotta go with Foxer. He's a beast.

I can understand a vote for Foxer here, but honestly I think this "surprising newcomer" thing is not gonna be unique. FD did it, now Foxer did it, and it's gonna be someone else next season.
Not exactly, FD was a top player before the GSL and was a favorite to win from the start. FoxeR just came out of no where and despite everyone thinking he will fail miserably, tore everyone (except kyrix) apart on his way to the finals. FD was just a good player who people expected to go high, but not exactly win. FoxeR everyone expected would fail miserably.

WHAT - Boxer v Nada only comes second??? What has TL become? I am dissapoint.
