I remember when i first started playing BW seriously. I watched all the replays on the net. I didn't care for not knowing who the players were. I wanted to get better, to understand the strategies, other races (the ones I'm bad at). Then SCBW started dying and WC3 became my game of choice. Again I watched all the replays I could find just to get better. But one thing remained in my heart. I still watch Korean SCBW scene even though I havn't played a single sc game in 4 years. I don't care anymore about getting better at it. I care about my favorite players and my favorite team. I don't play SC2, and don't have plans for playing it. I might play campaigns, but that's it. And I watched several highly rated SC2 games with good players (nony, whiteRa...) and the games were boring. Absolutely boring. When SC2 reaches the point where people are watching it even though they don't play the game or care about the game itself, then and only then will this kind of poll make sense.
Anyways OSL>MSL>PL.

Individual leagues are ok, but unless July is playing it's not really the same for me.

Ok, I gotta say this.

Fuck you to everyone who is hating on the people who voted for SC2. Seriously, I watched almost every korean proscene VOD for almost a year and a half (basically since I got into SCBW). You don't like watching SC2. Fine. You don't find it enjoyable. Fine. But say that others who chose to watch SC2 videos are noobs or somehow destroying the site is fucking idiotic.

For the most part, I don't get the same excitement from SC2 as I did from SCBW as I don't feel invested in any of the foreigners. I don't hang on the edge of my seat when Morrow or Idra or CathonLuck gets put behind like I did watching Flash or Sea but I still enjoy SC2 videos.

I enjoy SC2 videos for other reasons. I like seeing TLO's crazy strategies or a really well executed FE build order. I enjoy watching SC2 games because it supplements my knowledge of SC2 as a player.

I'm not a C or B SCBW player. I was D/D+ on iccup and I've been enjoying SC2 more almost entirely because of the new matchmaking. I actually play good games instead of getting smurfed by 300 APM Koreans like on iccup.

There are plenty of reasons to watch SC2 and the implication that anyone who votes for SC2 is a noob or is destroying TL is fucking retarded.

tldr: fuck you I enjoy SC2.

This my friends is the true meaning of "watching the game". When I hear some of you SC2 nabs say "Idra you broke my heart by losing...", then I'll accept then watching SC2 is fun. Until then, it'll just be "I just picked up a nice strategy I can use...".

The most important thing about Korean pro scene is not SCBW. It's in the players and the teams. If it weren't for them, the game would die long time ago. People that like watching football do not say OK, this game is boring, it's the same thing every time. No. They watch their favorite players and teams doing it little bit differently every time. The same applies to SCBW. So people saying "Good bye to past! Hello to the future." really have no idea what progaming is all about.
