This is after weighing Jaedong as the epitome of Starcraft atm of course, which though easy to do is not particularly sound in terms of statistics. If we go about this in a more sane way and take the top two rankers and do the math for them, Jaedong 4 + Calm 1 = 5. Then, Gosi's threshold too increases. He now has to win 2.5 titles, which for sanity's sake I will define as 1 MSL, 1 OSL and 1 GOM. Since GOM is now scrapped, Gosi can never realistically be placed on the Power Rank.

You seem to forget Hot_Bid, that all PR conclusions are arrived at via careful mathematics, and not pure conjecture as you allege. Sure, coins are involved (in fact, in order to maintain an equilibrium, we try and use coins representing at least 10 TL member currencies), but the process itself is very complex and has been passed down by word of mouth from Etter through Fakesteve and JWD to me.
