I think it's more political than anything. The players definitely care about GOM and there's been quite a bit of interest especially when high profile people start playing each other. It's just that Starcraft is a business and controlled by those who ultimately want to make the dough. Personally, I think the only way to lessen this is to have a players union, but don't know if that's possible with the Korean culture of respect and all.

there's no way the players are not upset about this. OGN and MBC players are used to it by now but SKT and eSTRO (did eSTRO miss previous seasons too?). GomTV prizes are just as high as OSL/MSL and I feel like it is a bit easier too. also, SKT1 not participating probably reduces the ratings dramatically.

i wonder, if they will keep the peer rating system for opposing players (bisu defence = 2). i can imagine someone giving july an 11 on attack.

gonna have to join the crowd complaining about the lack of T1... WHAT THE HELL, GUYS! not like the other missing teams have no interesting players to offer, but a league without Bisu and Boxer is definitely missing a lot. + Show Spoiler [OSL] +

even if Bisu did tank in the OSL

I think this is bad Brood War karma for SKT

Man that's a low blow preventing the previous champ from defending his title. GOM must be mad loosing all the hype of SKT players like Boxer and Bisu.
