Liquibition #28 - Uprising

This is the wrong thread, this is the correct one with the stream link
The dust has settled after a truly epic episode of Broodsport and that means that Liquibition is returning! ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/images/Zicon_small.gif) F91, the current Liquibition champion, walked away victorious over   IdrA 5-2, and with his 4-1 victory over JF in Liquibition #27; is there anyone who can stop this man? It is a tall order to tackle this beast of a Zerg, but someone has stepped up to the plate to challenge F91 for the title - and the prize of $100. It is none other than the Ukrainian Terran Master -  Strelok. Below is a history of all Liquibitions to date.

So let's get to know our competitors a little better. ![[image loading]](/staff/Plexa/Liquibition_S1/China.gif)   IefNaij and IdrA is evidence to this fact. He is our current Liquibition champion and looks to stay there for quite some time. While he has been criticized as having a 'all-in' style or a 'cheesy' style, his current play resembles nothing of this stigma. His current style, at least in ZvT, reminds me of Savior in his prime - waiting patiently until the last moment and then striking with the full force of the swarm. He is a very deadly player, and should be never underestimated.
Strelok, on the other hand, is one of the top Terrans outside of Korea. He has posted impressive results at pretty much every event he's been too - including a Top 16 finish at the TSL. Strelok belongs to the ESC team, and formerly belonged to MYM - and winning here would be a great way for him to welcome in the new sponsors. Despite Strelok's amazing TvP and TvT, there has always been a shadow of doubt surrounding his TvZ. Winning over F91, the player who took out IdrA, would certainly set those shadows to rest and prove once and for all that he is worthy of his Top Terran status. I am very eager to see how Strelok is going to handle the monstrous style of F91.
As per any Liquibition, we ask our players to select 3 maps each and then the last map is decided by community vote. For Liquibition #28, F91 chose Blue Storm 1.2, Tau Cross and Medusa as his three maps. Strelok, on the other hand, chose Longinus II, Python 1.3 and Zodiac after careful deliberation. Thus, the following map pool was generated;
The poll for the 7th map of the series will be up momentarily.
This promises to be an action packed event that you do not want to miss. Artosis and Chill will guide you through the series with their pristine commentary and will undoubtedly allow you to enjoy Liquibition to it's fullest. Will our champion F91 survive the onslaught from Strelok? Find out Saturday 11:00 EST (that's 17:00 CET, 8:00 PST, 00:00 Chinese time on Sunday, 1:00 KST on Sunday).

Hopefully epic. I've never seen Strelok play TvZ, but lets hope he will show everyone what he's made of, even in TvZ.
I had to LB F91, but I'm rooting the other way.
And the question that will certainly spawn debates: If Strelok wins or takes more then two games off F91, is he better then Idra?

Man that would be epic beyond all imagination. Actually think f91 will put up some level of a fight with his skill level right now. I assume that because we are back to the old liquibition format that not all 7 games will be played? I actually wouldn't be surprised if f91 sweeps 4-0 at this point. Can't wait for the game.

I don't know how well prepared strelok is at the moment, but if he trains as hard as for wcg and gamestarleague than it should be very interesting. He plays so much more intelligent than idra.

as for next opponent.. it’s pretty obviously he’s not T or Z, cause zvz and tvt both aren’t spectacular. So i’m sure that his race is p. it’s also pretty obviously that he’s not lx or pj or white-ra because of nationality – only-china/ukraine match will be monotonously and boring. Maybe they will give another chance to JF? Sure no! dreiven, infernal, arew haven’t so much popularity on tlnet, cloud and draco are inactive. F91 definitely. Strelok had a good showing at WCG, but his performance at PGL tells me he can't understand the style of Chinese Zergs, of which F91 is the undisputed king.
Anyways, Liquibition's just awesome to watch. Thanks for organizing as always!

Just hoping for some good games. The two F91 series were pretty lackluster in the sense that weren't many back and forth clashes. Hope Strelok puts up a good fight but ultimately loses. So we can get some more ZvP action next round.

Since he beat out Idra he must continue his win streak or I will be kinda upset...
I dont think hes a very cheesy player at all... He plays like a pro, when he sees a win, he takes it.

the stream didn't "break". it was a "protection" mechanism from our hoster, which stops outgoing traffic, when it is unusually high (like really, really high..., it had never happened before), since no one could have predicted so many viewers. should be deactivated this time. I don't think anyone was even aware of that protection before it actually happened, lol

Personally I would say their commentary is anything but pristine and that's why I like it so much. I'm just so excited for the casting I dont even care about the players.
