Teamliquid should seriously get a live chat everytime a liquibition occurs sorta like they did with the TSL where you could chat on web page showing the live replay commentary.

Most of us use IRC for that, though. I can see what you mean, but IRC is just practical, and a lot of the staff/members are on there already ;P

Do you have that replay of it? I think that everyone who has ever done battle with F91 should upload their one best replay of fighting him here at Teamliquid. You know, just to show a little back story on the guy of when he was just starting out. But that's just a thought though. He probably has replays uploaded on Teamliquid already. I'll have to look them up and see.

same here: VLC drops, on GOM only slideshow
gogo F91
|
VLC is doing fine for me...
|
|
|
It's not the player's fault, it's the stream's.
Total slideshow on every player I have - and every other online stream works perfectly. Talk about bad luck.
|
VLC is working fine for me. Usually if I'm having problems, I stream from WMP and it works fine. Either that, or your bandwidth is being used somewhere else.
|
VLC works fine for me as well. Maybe higher cache value? I've set it to 20000.
|
VLC drops for me, GOM say it can't find a codec and when I click "Find Codec" it says it can't find the appropriate coced and with WMP it has only sound.

I'm kidding of course, it's tough to be lucky over that that span of time. I think that knowing a player's past is a disadvantage as well- I keep picking nada to win all the freaking time, and he always lets me down.

are they concerned about goons pathing through the mineral line? goons can clearly get out through the mineral line, so life isn't so bad. They cannot get out above the mineral line however.

JF looks really flustered. Maybe he was lagging and just got frustrated and started making uncharacteristic mistakes? Not to take anything away from F91, he's playing very well.

Wow? I can assure you that there was 0 lag in the game. They were both playing on high latency in iccup which is slightly worse than Lan latency? I guess if there was lag in game you wouldn't be able to see f91's muta micro in destination..

Will F91 be allowed to build ultras?

Can anyone tell me, when the VODs are going to be out?

I am so disappointed at JF's performance. But I am even sadder that we didn't get to see Python.

f91 flew around some temps on a couple occasions, 1 very noteable that wouldnt happen on lan. also with current telecommunications technology 0 lag from canada to china is not possible even before you take into account how bad chinese internet is.
that said jf played bad. lag is not a good enough excuse. congrats to f91, showed some really nice play.

Are you aware that 0 lag is different from 0 latency? 0 lag is like what you usually play on battle net without chaos/iccup launcher while 0 latency is something you describe like lan speed. These 2 are different things

I have never had anyone say "0 lag" before. I have heard of delay and spiking in reference to the type of lag somebody is feeling. The intensity of the delay or spiking is often shown by checking how high the ping/latency is.

JF suffered from the typical 'this is hopeless' syndrome when being beat down in PvZ multiple times. :/

Thanks for the releasing the replays so quickly. That mutalisk snipe hydra combo really owned.

I've watched the first 2 games and it seems weird how the overlord from f91 starts going in a different direction, than switches to where JF is. I'm not saying F91 is cheating but it just seemed weird. Anyways gj to both players and I'm going to watch the other replays now.

knew F91 would win

After reading through the posts and people saying how JF played so poorly I can understand now, He played pretty sloppy as opposed to his normal korean skilled micro. F91 capitalized on that and played great.

ill be seeding to get at least a 2.0 ratio for this, hope other people can try to do the same!

Sloppy play by JF there. He should've known F91's style and better equipped to handle the runby. Really once so many lings get it's really hard to come back.

I was hoping ret would've explained this. Because I've always wondered about the direction in which a person would normally scout with the ovie due to positional imbalance on maps.
Normally when I watch a zerg redirect his overlord, I just assume it's more important to find out of the opponent's from that particular direction.

+ Show Spoiler +f91's style is sooooooooooo chinese. koreans (and white fan boys) play a very tested safe and calculated style. chinese play in an overly aggressive, old school, manner with little regard for "is this standard" or not. building two hydra dens? that is gosu chinese. f91 plays a a julyzerg-micro and less savior-macro style... and it was so fun to watch him spank goon/reaver meh. can't wait for next liquibition (f91 v nony please). plexa/ret is a great team. i especially like ret's insights.

In ZvP you scout in a direction where you can find the toss natural first not the base. Example: Othello, you spawn at bottom left, than you gonna scout bottom right. If you spwan at bottom right you go top right and so on. At least i do it this way, and as far as i see most zergs do it like this.

i'm glad you guys were able to coax him into playing, this is awesome!!

JF played really weak , so F91 deserved the win ;]
hope F91 gonna destroy IdrA 4-0 that would be soooo awesome xD
|
JF is soo overhyped. His goon + reaver risky builds with cutting probes at both bases are so predictable. This is such a hard thing to counter for zerg - it is very well seen in the first game. Even with flanking f91 couldnt kill it. He does it all the time - dimaga, gosia etc. And in normal macro games like 3,4 which represent skill more fairly he just fell apart.
|
OHMAN LOOOOKING FORWARD TO F91 vs IdrA OMG :D
Jf....played kinda poorly this set
|
Really nicely done by F91, i expected him to win but not with 4-1.
I think IdrA will beat F91 tho, he's been playing them pro's for a long time now so he kinda has to win.
Also beating YellOw, even tho he's pretty much retired is a good testament to his TvZ

This is true. I often change the direction of my overlord after like a second because it's hard to remember the map layout while doing the split.
|
given idras play vs zerg at gom he'll dismantle a foreign zerg.
|
i think idra will win 4-1 when he play lol
|
I like playing a very "standard" type of Terran so I'm generally always rooting for Idra in these kinds of matches. I also want all the naysayers to eat their words. He always has so much pressure and expectations of him since he's practicing on a pro team that people talk so much trash when he loses.
Nothing against F91 but I hope Idra wtfrapes him in dominant fashion.

it was the WWI. I think it was bo1 tho so that doesn't mean a whole lot. I'm looking forward to seeing how much idra has improved now. Haven't seen anything from him since he joined CJ.

Jf's non goon/reav builds seemed quite bad in comparasion to your average B korean toss ~~ His sair is like 30 seconds later and the zeal/archon push was even later, without being stronger. And that makes him miss the critical timing window just before the zerg starts to grow.

Idra's TvZ seems really good, Id bet on him..considering his 2-0 of yellow(who did take a game off nada in that toruny) and that TvZ vs neel on andromeda, and considering this was 2-3 months ago, he could have only gotten better.
