Welcome to the pilot episode of Liquid Podcast! This week, Chill and I discuss everything from the TL vs GG showmatch to WCG USA to the Korean Starcraft scene over the past week. Hopefully this podcast will be the first of many, and will become a regular feature.
This is our first try, so any feedback or criticism for us to improve is welcome. There's definitely room for a lot of improvement, so please do not be shy. We also may have a special guest next episode for an interview.
If you want us to talk about a specific topic or answer a certain question next episode, or if you just want to talk about this episode, please PM Chill or PM Hot_Bid.

mm, yeah.. listening now, the left/right side is abit annoying for me, but guess it's personal taste. It could be because hot_bid's voice is on abit low volume, and it would be better if his voice was abit lowder, or chills voice softer so i can crank volume up or down and keep it even.
Other than that, cute :p

Yeah, I agree with everyone on the voice panning. There needs to be equal sound in both of my ears at the same time with headphones on.

i was listening to it on speakers when i posted my first comment, and it sounded fine, but now that i listen to it on headphone, it does get annoying after a while...

fixing the stereo panning, its mostly me being noob with audacity; it automatically did the left right thing without me changing anything so i'm just setting it back now.

This is a really kool idea. Makes us feel closer to the TL mods. My only complaint was the volume issue that you guys are fixing right now. And I'm not sure but you two seem to be a little off sync. Overall though good show =D. Keep them coming guys!

i never would have seen jaedong v yellow otherwise and im pretty glad that i did
maybe even throw out some must watch matches before you review it all so folks can pause and check it out?

ok the new version without the stereo left right speaker distortion is now up, but i don't know how to fix the lag issue with me and chill, hm.

I liked it. I listened to it with headphones and didn't have any problems with L/R sound. I can't think of any suggestions now, but if I think of any later, I might remember to edit them in.

- focus on guests, interviews, community news and less laughing at the expense of others unless ur willing to include yourself in the jokes..

The Chill on the right channel and Hot_Bid on the left annoys me. I think you should combined them to both channels. Also, it seems there was quite a large amount of lag between people speaking and the other acknowledging. Whether this is from Vent/Skype lag or exporting problems, please fix it.

I don't have a problem with the Klazart stuff, I think it was in good fun. Klazart has so many fans, he should be able to take a couple of jokes.
I liked the cast but it was obvious that Hot_Bid had a lot to say while Chill just played a support role. I'm not sure if it was intended to be like this. I'd say that both casters should be prepared before they do this, but then again I know that there are so many things that they do already for tl.net, so I won't complain.

I think this was a crazy week. So much stuff happened and there were SO MANY progames. Obviously Hot_Bid watches more progaming than me in general.

This was alot more prepared and alot better than the Pony Express talk show thing, it was great. I hope you inform the listeners beforehand about when is the show going to start. You should also get more people on the show, or even guests from the IRC channel on vent.

This was good, both of you did a great job and covered each subject very well. I'd reccommend a little more of a coherent structure in future episodes, as well as perhaps some interesting segments (is many gimmick, yes?) and yeah, callers would be good if you can keep things from being ridiculous. Perhaps a more scripted intro segment that summarizes the show? Idk, I'm just brainstorming.

also, try to invite players like Artosis / nony so they can speak about their stay in korea / practice for wcg.

I listened to it while going to work this morning and I really enjoyed it (I have about 1hour from home to work so it was really perfect).
Some things I would suggest : try to clearly give all results of the past week and then talk about the good games of that league.
For MSL it would have been "Hwasin and Tempest advanced in the group H, I really enjoyed the games between that player and this one ... "
Once you're done with MSL, you can go on with the OSL, and Proleague, or whatever.
It would be really easier to follow than it was this episode. You were talking about OSL, then talk about some MSL game, talk about Proleague, then OSL again ...
Don't get me wrong, I loved the way you were discussing things and stuff, but the actual results were not that clear to understand. I personally couldn't watch all this week's games so that brief commentary about the good games was really cool.

While most of the things that could use improvement have already been mentioned, I'd rather not change the length at all. I think around 1 hour is very nice. Of course there's no point adding bad/pointless content just to make it the same length everytime (If, for example, there hasn't been much to talk about).
All the good natured fun poking (both at TL and others) is great.
And I'd certainly like some more talk of funny/interesting topics & posts on the forum once in a while, (combine it with the above suggestion ^^ ).
Short version: I liked it! make more!

I could have listened easily another hour. Maybe you should do 90 minutes or more if enough stuff to talk about is available.

I really liked it. I just DLed cause I wanted something to listen to while watching TV (lol).
What really annoyed me was the extreme lag, which I know has been mentioned. But like Hot_Bid would say something that doesn't make sense, and then it would play a remark from Chill which caused Hot_Bid's remark.
It was very confusing to know who was supposed to talk first, but nonetheless, good job. Hope to see plenty more. Maybe 2 or 3 a week?

Quiet mellow background music is always good with these podcasts, it helps with dead air as well. Besides that, it was awesome, I love people explaining things to me without me having to read.

That was really cool. Very informative, and it's great to hear others' opinions on current happenings like this instead of reading text. I listened to it on the bus to/from university today.
