I just got this from Razer. If you want to purchase Razer products, they have created a custom coupon for TL.net orders where you can get a free gaming surface. I'm putting it up a little early because people seem to be shopping, so take a look.

Hmm, yes the site is very slow - got a general question: How will this affect the EU purchasers? I mean will it be shipping cost included from the states etc? In that case it'll hardly be worth it.
Guess I'll wait untill it's really out there officially anyways.

Damn only if shipping to my country was low cost. Unfortunatley its not worth since if i buy a mouse for around $50 with shipping it will cost me $20 more so here goes the free mouse pad.

Yes, it's nice and all that they are supporting TL - but I mean it's just a pretty obvious way to make money.
I'm sure that by now, if just 100 people bought their mice, they would have recouped the $5K. This is all obvious, but I find it a bit discomforting that people here are so eager. Anyhow, are their mice even better than say the Logitech G3 - I just find their stuff a bit tacky.

i really, REALLY dont think mouse's are 50 bucks each, plus, its not like they have gotten them free. It costs to produce / buy something you know?

I used to be a skeptic, but I now realize that a quality mouse pad helps a LOT! Much more worth it than a gaming keyboard, I'd say

I have the Razer Deathadder. It was weird at first because I was used to using the logitech mx700 which is much heavier. I have big hands myself[or so I'd like to think] and the deathadder fits me pretty well. I've grown to like it a lot, especially since it doesn't even need a mousepad. I play SC on my laptop and on my bed with the mouse on directly on the bed sheet; it works great. I only have about 70-90 apm so you may need a mousepad if you're faster.
On another note, what does everyone think of the mousepad Razer is offering? The offer is only good with the "speed" version of the pad. Does anyone know how good it is? Since I have a mouse already, I may get the headset. That thing is a BEAST. Would be great for my big ears

actually the idea of this sponsorship is to gain a reputation prior to SC2 release. Gettin 5k dollars back is a nice bonus, they mightve not even expect this kind of reception.

You punch in "teamliquid" for the coupon code. Just add the mousepad to your cart.
Sounds like a great deal, but I kind of prefer soft mousepads, so when I have extra monies I'm going to put down for the Razer Goliathus.

Agreed, the Lachesis with it's 4000 dpi. laser sensor, and 7 configurable buttons is more than enough reason to buy it.  btw I have one and I love it. Took me awhile to get use to it's ergonomics though, but the blue light on the wheel and the blue glowing razer logo is so hypnotizing. *sigh*
