Overall Analysis: Ra Ra Ra.... why do you do this to us? You grab a nice little advantage with your ingenius strategy, and then you piss it all away by attempting a dual techign to reaver/dt? Why didn't you just throw in a scout aswell?
GoRush. I don't know what to say. At times you get my hopes up for a glimmer of the old days... and I can see you really wanted to do it by going from all in muta to lurker/hydra.... but really, since when did lurker/hydra work anymore? Your performance against Ra, however, was still pretty impressive. For that I will still keep an eye on you.

Overall Analysis: Who is that imposter that looks like Free? Because the gameplay that Free showed was definately not the Free we know. He got Carriers on Loki II after setting Flash back by a mile and lost. Flash actually said in his interview that he was THIS close to just typing GG and leaving when he saw the first zealot, but decided to stick it out just cuz it was MSL.
Then Free got a PvZ on KATRINA of all maps, and got pumelled to a pulp. Honestly if these vods were shown as replays everyone would have yelled "fake!", because that is not how Free usually plays.
Oov's loss I can understand to a degree. The guy slipped and cut his wrist in the shower, putting him out of action for a while. I'm not too surprised of the risks he took in game 1 and in the Winners Round. The Final match, however, I have nothing to say. When I first saw the games, I had no clue what Oov was thinking. Of course, once I saw Group H games the following week, I finally got it.

Overall Analysis: HOLY SHIT KWANRO. This kid just sliced through NaDa and Canata like they were made of tofu or something. While his attack vs NaDa was more of a "wtf nada" than a "gj kwanro", his muta micro against Canata was really something else. It's really nice to see a fresh offensive style zerg again.
Canata choking againts NaDa is something we all should get use to. This guy shows a lot of skill and talent at times, but for some reason he just can't seem to seal the deal. NaDa's comeback on Loki II is definately someone everyone should watch if they haven't by now, and even if you have, I suggest you watch it again (but first grab a napkin incase something bursts). Of course, to be fair, none of these games were a real testament that NaDa is back, but fun as hell to watch.
This week you may have noticed I tried something a little different for reporting. Please give me feedback on what you think of it, and let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.

I may never watch full MSL games again. <3 L2W

I liked it, though I think you could have added a thing or two to each section. Nothing specific, well, except maybe add a couple thoughts on the players you didn't really mention.

And the highlight videos were awesome. But I think that should be obvious.

I love the highlight videos. I'm sure it's a lot of work, but the effort is very much appreciated.
(PS your html is a bit screwed up and makes the first vid play automatically.)

I LOVE THE HIGHLIGHT VIDEOS!
|
The highlight videos are definitely awesome. My only concern about this is the length. In the older format, you could get a refresher about what happened along with a bit of analysis with a 5 minute skim of the news post. In this you've got 50 minutes of highlight footage plus analysis, which doesn't make for a nice quick read so well.
This would be less of a problem if there weren't 3 groups in the post, I suppose. Still, I might suggest aiming for somewhat shorter highlights if possible, to make this a bit more accessible to those without a ton of time.
I don't want to be overly critical here, and the highlight videos are awesome as is. I just think 50 minutes to consume a single news post is a bit much.

whao whao whao, anyone else freaked out by this "divx desktop dimmer"?
I thought my laptop was dying or something..

Umm . . . the whole thing is making games more accessible to those without a ton of time; I normally would not have watched any of the games except the ones with Kwanro, because I do not spend much time watching VODs. I wouldn't have went out of my way to watch rA or free after finding out they played terribly. But with the highlights I still experienced the other games without having to divulge a lot of time in watching crappy games.
It would have been nice with the highlights and the analysis, though.

Highlight videos are win!

Nice but shorter Highlights plz.
|
Amazing stuff. Very enjoyable to watch and read. I'm sure the videos take a while, but it's much appreciated. _b

I agree, very nice highlight videos! :D Thanks much for your efforts! <3~

rA manages to hurt the souls of all the protoss fans, again : (.

Highlight vids own for short watching of the games while reading your analysis! I'm sure it takes a while to make those vids but they are amazing thx
|
great stuff! and as others suggested, skipping the build up and going straight for the "highlight(s)" of the game will reduce the lenght of the video greatly. make it more like a teaser than a summary i suppose?

|
Great idea, indeed.
|
Awesome highlight vids.
Dunno if I agree with the ones who wants them shortened. The more the merrier!

Loved the videos.
Kwanro has fucking sick muta control. And I am happy that NaDa is starting to win again.
|
Excellent highlights. Good job.
|
bummer for all non windows/mac users that the divx web player doesnt work.
|
I use windows and still cant see the videos
|
This is fucking awesome love the newest feature!

I really dig the videos man. I'm a noob here, so i suppose my opinion doesnt count for... well it doesnt carry much weight, but I would suggest putting the Analysis with a spoiler thing too, because it tells the winners. I read the analysis first because then i know what to watch for in the vid.
I also read the comments on this so far, and would like to suggest a possible compromise between the people wanting shorter vids, and those who like the length. You could break up each individual game into a vid, and so they can select the game they want instead of having all of them at once.
(the desktop dim thing had me flippin my wig at first too, ha. thought my laptop got unplugged.)
anyway. good work man. d:- )

Don't shorten them, they are perfect as is. Watching the buildup is absolutely necessary. It's only 15-20 minutes, if you can't spend that much time watching an action packed highlight vid, don't watch it. But I doubt any of us are that busy that we can't find 15-20 minutes free during the day to watch one of the groups that we want to see.
