There's a lot of preparation that goes into even best of 1 group stages, and that's something that was very apparent in these group stages, with the Savage vs Innovation series, where Savage almost had won if not for Innovation's superior mechanics. There's less room for error because the format is less forgiving, and as a result, players have to be playing their absolute best and under pressure, even if sometimes it's a shorter game because of an timing all-in or cheese (and even build order selection has to be well planned based on map and opponent). The Bo1 is also the way SC2 is meant to be played, because that's how it is played in regular ranked ladder games, and there is still room in OSL's format for Bo3 and Bo5, so OSL actually has a good spectrum of "the way SC2 is meant to be played." I actually enjoyed the Bo1 format, as I don't lose attention after the first two series like I normally would in a Bo3 group stage after having watched so many Bo3 group stages in the last 2-3 years. OSL's format has been successful for them since the days of BW, and I would like to see the legacy continue. | ||

YugiOh has been meh for a while and yeah Flash doesn't have much information on RagnaroK but come on man. The only real landmine was SK and two guys were going to advance either way. SK and Flash were definitely the favorites. | ||
