but no player has ever triggered a sense of competitive obsession the way Seed does in Symbol, Thorzain with Naniwa, or detection does for InCa. WP sir WP my 1st pick 100% has to be life, my 2nd pick.. thats a bit more convoluted, but my gut sais parting will be able to beat both of the terran players, even though they are both top notch terrans.

Yeah, there's no way you can compare them. There have already been almost as many MLGs in 3 years as OSLs in who knows how many years. That's not even counting GSL,IPL, Iron Squid, NASL, etc. etc.. A tournament matter a whole lot more when it's the only one.

I'm sorry, but this is a "no shit" answer. Obviously Flash's accomplishments are far greater than Life's. In BW, there were only two tournaments - MSL and OSL (WCG doesn't count, GOMTV died). Also, BW was refined to an art over a decade, which means that the skill levels were incredibly high. In SC2, WOL/HOTS is still so new that the argument can be made that the skills and tactics used right now are still very unrefined, especially in HOTS. And Flash's accomplishments in BW are not just in titles. He earned his "God" title over consistent years of doing the impossible - over 70% winrate in all 3 matchups, highest ELO peak against all races in history at one time, over 80% at one time in TvT, and creating (and winning with) incredible strategies in a game that was so well-tested that new strategies don't come up often. You can tell I pray at the altar of Flash. Having said that, I don't think he's going to win this group he said he'd need a year to get to the level of the top players, and while he's there, he's probably going to need more time to become THE top player, and you'll have to become the top to really survive here...
