I'm not saying that he was a horrible player, but I don't think that he ever managed to establish himself as a proper pro player on any good team
his claim to fame was rather that he had the most points in a public inhouse league (S.I.G. on dotaleague) which he achieved by playing a lot (and leaving the queue when some famous people showed up)

Anyhow, GO Stephano, Naama and ThorZaiN!
User was warned for this post Was this guy really warned for speaking the truth? BabyKnight's interview was extremely disrespectful to the entire DotA community, which he has not been a member of for years. He was once a pro player in a underdeveloped competitive scene, that does not give him the right to put down an entire community he is not a part of. He deserves all the flak that he gets. It is also quite ironic that despite putting down DotA over its community, he exhibits many of the characteristics that gave DotA's community its poor reputation. I do not know much about any of these players, but BabyKnight has shown me that he is a disrespectful ingrate, and I hope that one of the other players in this tournament wins. we don't like people calling each other bitches Where I am from, we call it like we see it, and there is no other way to describe BabyKnight's behavior.
great, go post there instead

He made a mistake. People are calling him out on his bullshit. If you disagree with that, I believe that you instead should go elsewhere.

But talking about the scene as if it was still identical to 3 years ago (It's not like it was all roses) and there was no one who was just an average fan, and really not acknowledging that it takes a lot to be at the top (would have been a millionaire? joke, but still). I wasn't too active in following the scene at the time as I took a break from Dota during college, but surely he was still around during EHOME's reign? Yet he speaks as if he was at the top, when the old Euro teams didn't stand a chance.
Anyway, his decision, he could have had a pretty big fanbase for free. Now he has a lot of haters.

That was his breakout fame, but although he might not have a long time record like Maelk, Loda or NS he did to really well with Lost.eu and as MYM standin (top 3 eswc). Also, I think any top level player at that time could confirm his skill being beyond a pubstomper.
And why do Dota2 people take so much offence from BabyKnights honest answers. He can only answer on grounds of his previous involvement, and it's not like he's actively dragging the interview into a -fuck dota- direction. It might not have been the keenest of words, but it reflects the community he came from, and there is no doubt that Teamliquid is way better moderated and constructive in general.

That is just babyknights opinion, if you think it is inaccurate due to your own personal experiences, that is a good thing because that means the dota community is getting less.....crazy shall we say? Not saying I agree or disagree with him but it is a bit funny to me to see how personally some folks take someone saying they don't think dota2 should have been added to team liquid. again, not saying I agree but I just think getting so flustered about that makes you seem a little childish. regardless i think we are all in for a great tourney no matter who wins!

Teamliquid adding Dota makes him sad, that's dragging it in a 'fuck dota' direction considering he's a former player. Most StarCraft players even realize that it doesn't affect their enjoyment of the site, yet it makes him sad? He is quite actively shitting on the game.
People are well within their right to be offended, it's not like he said "back then the community was pretty shit," because no one would disagree with that.

People stand up for their game, especially dota players because they're quite used to having to.

I agree that it is definitely not affecting anybodies enjoyment of the site! By the same logic, him shitting on it does not effect my enjoyment of the site, but i see what you mean I suppose id understand more if I was a member of that community.

Haha seeing this interview reminded me of this Tribute song for BabyK Gl in the future you little turncoat princess.

Read about a super retarded comment by BKnight... checked the interview... Jesus Christ, cmon guys, he didn't mean it THAT way. There were only 2 really really REALLY big tournaments that would give you insane price money and 1m/5 x2 if you win it all TWICE you still don't have a million.
Liked the interviews overall, great reads as usual!
