I never had anything to do with Brood War and started to get involved in the SC-community shortly after SC2 was realeased. But there was one thing I came to know about very quickly: the rivalry with the koreans. Even thought I didnt know any of the Brood War backround I was fascinated by the whole idea of Korea vs. Foreigners etc. You could just "feel" that it was of importance. I dont remember exactly when, but very short time after I started playing the GSL Open was announced, the sheer amount of price money was incredible itself but there were also foreign players to play in it. They quickly became my heroes! TLO hellioning himself through TvT, learning about who Artosis was and seeing him play, Idra wearing the leather jacket und then there was the Gorilla Terran! Your GSL runs as of late 2010 and early 2011 made grateful that I was beeing introduced to SC2. You could really feel that everybody was so excited about one foreigner stomping the koreans in their home country! I remember so many times rushing home from uni or simply not attending at all, to watch your games in GSL. Such an amazing time. I remember your banshee having more kills than your opponent had workers. Or the time you beat MC on LT with mech and everybody thought that you made mech viable vs. protoss with that game. Good old times! Oh and your beanie, I bet half the people on TL wanted to have one aswell just to look more jinroesk! I bet if I give it little more time more happy memories will pop up. To sum it up: Jinro, Gorilla Terran, my SC2 experience would not be the same without you. Thank you for all the amazing memories that will accompany thoughout my life. I hope will you find what ever you are looking for! THANK YOU

Nothing was more exciting then waking up early in the morning to watch you play in the GSL. Very thankful for all the memories. Good luck with poker and i hope you keep being around in the forums!

I was one of them but it was only because we expected so much of him. Jinro will be remember as the first, and for now, only foreign player to reach the semi-finals in the GSL not once but twice. What he did was unbelievable at the time and still is to some extent. Thank you Jinro, I hope you can find not only success but hapiness in your new life!
